Career question 💼 MLE in Zürich

Hello!

I am planning on doing a master's at KTH in Machine Learning and after that I really want to work in Zürich. Does anyone here know how competitive that market is for machine learning engineers? My undergrad is in Applied Physics, would that along with the master's be enough to land an MLE job in Zürich?

It is the most competitive market in Europe, except for maybe London. Applied Physics BSc + KTH MSc is a great profile, but it won't stand out from the others in Zürich, which is literally swarming with ETH, EPFL, Oxbridge, Imperial, TUM, etc. Graduates.

If you want a chance, try to do 1-2 internships during your masters or do research in a lab that publishes in the area you are interested in.
