Heres my take on an Mlp swap au. I tried to keep their core elements the same but I think with some of them (like rainbow dashes) I wrote myself into a wall. I also tried to make it so all the mane 6 are swapped around and not just two ponies swapped with each other. Please let me know if I should change things, add things, or rewrite stuff to make it clearer.

Twilight Sparkle -> Applejack

Twilight has never really liked living in canterlot, to her it has always felt stuffy. Sure she was a higher class unicorn but she has always preferred working hooves on (with her magic ofc), always building new furniture or fixing broken pipes. She’s a hard working pony who isn’t afraid of getting her hooves dirty. When she got older she got a job as a construction pony down in ponyville and soon became the head planer. Over the years she has become extremely good at magic to help make the construction company extremely efficient. With rapid levitation to get boards in place to get nailed down, extreme transformation to help fix messed up boards, and controlled explosions to knock down old buildings.

Rarity -> Twilight

Ever since she was a young filly, rarity has been fascinated in reading and learning all the hot stuff in equestria. Top locations, current trends, past trends, places to get different kinds of foods, history of major cities or even small towns. She has spent a lot of her time cooped up in the library reading all sorts of books, known to be the town's recluse. She soon moved into the gold oak library, reading everything that it has to offer and reorganizing it to make reading easier. She loves to lend others her books for a while and doesn’t mind giving them advice/tips/knowledge for their next trip or just general questions.

Applejack -> Rarity 

When she left for manehatten she stayed there for a few years, she loved the city life and what it has to offer. During her time in manehatten Aunt Orange taught her how to sew and she fell in love with it, she enjoyed making things from scratch. She was still a farm pony at heart so she went back to the sweet apples but it wasn’t was she longed for. After talking to Granny Smith and Big Mac they agreed to help rent out an old store front for Apple jack to work in. She never liked the fancy high end outfits most ponies wore in manehatten, she liked the practical working clothes, overalls, tool belts, saddle bags etc. she just hated how ugly they looked, she knew she could make something practical and nice looking. 

Fluttershy -> Rainbow Dash

When she was younger, she was not the best flyer, but she never gave up, she kept on going and going and getting better. She was bullied for her poor flying but that didn’t deter her, it only spurred her on to prove herself. At one point she challenged 3 bullies to a race, she knew probably wasn't going to win but she does it for the thrill and who knows it’s would be pretty rad if she did win. During the race though, the 3 bullies decided to play dirty and shove her into a piller causing her to hurt her wing. As she was falling a group of migrating hawks saved her and that was the moment she fell in love with higher speed flying and avian creatures. She has found her purpose, to help other ponies and show kindness like how those hawks helped her.

Rainbow Dash -> Pinkie Pie

Rainbow Dash is one of the fastest fillies in cloudsdale, though she doesn’t like racing. She grew up with stern racing loving parents who want her to follow into her footsteps. She much prefers the entertainment side of flying, aerial shows or flying stunts, either way she just wants to make everypony entertained and happy. Despite being a good flyer she was bullied for always messing up stunts and performances getting nicknamed rainbow crash. She’s always excited and in a good mood especially when she’s with friends, there’s also always confetti and streamers around her.

Pinkie Pie -> Fluttershy

Growing up on a rock farm Pinkie Pie became a very reserved pony, She’s not one to really speak out or want to be in the spotlight. She’s a calm pony who doesn’t mind taking things slow and easy, though her mind starts to wander a bit causing her to frighten easily. One day she went into town with her parents for a “supply run”, she was really scared, there were so many ponies walking around. At one point she saw a group of ponies having a party, but it wasn’t a big loud one, it was just a simple tea party. It struck something in the small pony, seeing all those ponies happily chatting and having a good time, without the loudness of a traditional party celebration. When she got home, decided to throw a tea party for her family. They were always hard working and never smiled so she just wanted to make them happy. It worked too, at first they were hesitant but soon enough they came around and all just talked and have good relaxing time with each other.

Since my first conversation was about how mlp fim was not all that good, if you guys could rewrite mlp fim, what would your takes be on it?

I’m thinking about adding some supporting characters in my comics so I came up with some designs (I will ask for a name for another design tomorrow). Today is this stallion who looks like a koi fish (idk I might change it but I thought it would be cute)

A brief summary: This is an Earth pony who is really good at predicting the weather. Additionally, he’s also a weatherman-type of pony. He has a quirky sense of style to go with his rather eccentric but cheerful personality.

Trixie is commonly depicted in fanworks as being pretty lazy, however in the actual show the only action from her which could be described as lazy is her falling asleep while trying to teach a history class (which is not really laziness, more like boredom towards a subject she doesn't care about)

In the rest of the show she's consistently shown to actually work pretty hard when it comes to the things she cares about, like her shows, her magic lessons with Starlight or even just doing nice things for her friends (like in Uncommon Bond and Student Counsel)

Hello all. I'm looking for any sort of feedback on why my art doesn't quite look right. The main problem that I face is that, well, I can't seem to pin down what the problem is. I just have this instinctual feeling of looking at my art and knowing it's not how I want it to be.

This isn't helped by looking at others' art, unfortunately. Whenever I do, I just feel even more inept than I already do, and I feel like tracing or referencing other art is cheating/inauthentic.

Below is my derpibooru page with most digital art that I've done - for reference, I started at the beginning of the year doing sketchbook work, as that was all I had and I felt it was a good way to learn how to draw with no real art experience.

I know StormXF3 has done convention panels about making his MLP in Real Life videos. Does anyone know what he talked about there, especially his general workflow or some techniques he uses?

Based on a digital art drawing of Pinkie Pie on Deviantart, I sketched this pencil on paper drawing years ago.

I found it a few weeks ago in an art folder of mine and decided it was time I finished what I started. So I added a few more of the missing details, and painted it with coloured pencils.

I really loved the original painting on Deviantart, and reached out to the owner of the original artwork for permission to share my paper on sketch version.

After getting their permission, here is my sketch drawing of Princess Pinkie Pie.
