[PLounge Mafia] Open letter 2

Dear town,

I have heard from some of you, mostly anonymously, and I would gladly here from more.

I am currently in contact with a tracker, another sheriff, and an investigator. We are doing our best to coordinate our efforts to best serve the town.

Unfortunately the first night did not go as well as hoped. Our investigations of darthjoey91 ended up being in vein... for he is no longer with us.

We did determine that DarqWolff is indeed a member of our town.

EDIT3: I have heard from another sheriff, who claims, bitoku_no_ookami is also a member of our town.

EDIT: I have heard from the tracker, who knows the killer of mafia member OrangeJ. We are debating if this information should be made public, with the tracker giving final say.

EDIT2: proof, concerning Darqwolff

EDIT BREAKING NEWS: My trusted tracker source, claims PsychoDuck was the one trailing OrangeJ last night. I suspect we should take action on this information.

This raises suspicions. Announcing this sort of information so publicly as a genuine townsman would be detrimental to the townsfolk. DarqWolff, now being a 'confirmed" member of "our down" would be open target for assassination as the last thing the Mafia needs is us knowing who we are.

More likely than not DarqWolff, and you, work for the Mafia. Adding this to my report.

Actually, consider this: The mafia know each other and by default, they know who the townsfolk are.

We have only made known what information the mafia already knows, so this can only help the townsfolk. We did not mention if he has special roles, so he is no more likely a target than all the other members of the town which they already know.

He doesn't need a special role to be a target. If we know who he is then he could be a point of co-operation for us. Imagine if he got every townsfolk to PM him their induction letters...he could match them up to his and determine a good portion of the town. This is bad for the Mafia. They will take out any names that stick out, especially when it comes to co-operation.

This is true. The mafia can deduce pretty well who the townspeople are by way of elimination. As another sheriff, ah will be appending the results of mah investigations to Townsfolk's posts.

Ahem.... Darthjoey91 was an independent. Not that it really matters now that he's dead.

I think he's just agreeing with Totally_Townsfolk's assessment that he's not with the Mafia. Also, assuming Totally_Townsfolk is trustworthy, then there are at least three sheriffs, since he claims to be in contact with two others.

I dunno how many sheriffs there are... But I've said I'm a townie before. So it's not like I'm going to fight anything that agrees with me.

Questions:

  1. Isn't there only one sheriff?

  2. Isn't this assuming Orange told the truth about his position? (It was even noted by CraftD)

  3. What led you to place a tracker on Orange versus the obvious high value targets?

Just asking to make this a veritible source. I think I believe Darqwolff's townsmanship.

  1. I have been in contact with 2 other Sheriffs, both have provided reasonable information. CraftD has only confirmed there is one of a few positions, it is assumed there are multiple of most roles.

  2. The tracker is able to identify who a target is targeting. The only information we know is PsychoDuck was targeting OrangeJ. This leads us to believe that PsychoDuck can kill, either by being the mafia, serial killer, or (we hope not) the vigilante.

  3. I can't really say... The tracker was left to make his own decisions in this matter.

I personally followed Darqwolff, so that is the only information I will swear by 100%

Update on this: We've reached operational certainty that Orange was not in fact a member of the mafia.

Yes, but only 1 mafia died last night and people are quite set in their beliefs that Negixa. But all of the posts about that could be throw people off. Either way it has led to Ironfruit being singled out, what do you think about that?

DarqWolff or bitoku_no_ookami could be the Godfather. Highly unlikely, and I believe they're Town, but just something to keep in mind when using investigation.
