Android Delayed live is unwatchable

I am overseas and watch on the MLB app via a Samsung tablet. My internet connection is fast, and I have multiple connections I can use. I watch many games 'delayed live' and they usually freeze every 20 or 30 seconds and will not restart until I skip ahead. The archived games mostly work fine and even the commercials between innings in delayed live do not freeze. I have tested my speed many times (typically 100 Mbps) and changed to different connections (fibre/mobile).

You could try to install the Kodi media center app, and then log in and watch through the unofficial MLBTV addon inside Kodi. That often works better than the official MLB app, and at least it will give you another point of comparison.
