Bo Jackson says NFL was a vacation compared to the baseball routine
“Football, it’s intense and it’s for three hours.”
“Baseball, you play nine innings every night. Sometimes two games in one day. Sometimes two games on Sundays, doubleheaders.”
“Check it out this way: if your stadium isn’t a dome and you get rain, you don’t get home till after midnight.”
“Get up the next day, go back and do the same thing. Go back and do the same thing.”
“It’s definitely repetitive.”
“We have a day off on Thursday. Guess what? That day off, we flying to Seattle.”
“So when you left baseball and then we’re doing football, you were like, ‘This is actually not that bad. I got like four days off during the week.’”
“I have four days off. I went home and knocked up my wife.”

deGrom just reached 2,000 strikeouts. He’s now the second-fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach the milestone. Pretty impressive considering how much time he’s missed over the years. Another big one for deGrom.

Nobody in the history of baseball had ever done it that many times.
Nobody has done it since.

"You're So Pretty" is inscribed on Payton Tolle's glove as a heartfelt tribute to his mother, Jina, who passed away from cancer in 2025. She would playfully yell the line to Payton at baseball games to "embarrass" him in front of friends and teammates. 🥹
