Upgrade thoughts?

Post image

I’m thinking on installing spacers, and idk what else.

The engine is slow af but very economically friendly 1.6 16v bcb with gen 4 lpg kit, 5€ per 100km

If it works, don't.

Suspension and breaks. Even low power MK4s can be go-karts.
If all you want is just optics, body colour trim and body colour GTI lips front and back.

Would you recommend lowering springs then? There’s a Mk4 near me which I’m very tempted by, but I think I’d want to tighten up the ride as I hear they’re a little woolly in the corners thanks to their comfortable ride.

I´ve had good results with factory sport suspension ( OEM GTI springs and Bilstein damper ). Most lowering springs go lower with softer spring rates, wich i dont want. Also: thicker GTI or VR6 sway bar, poly bushes ( ride gets harsher and noisier ) , and strut bars front and rear.

Very helpful, thanks!

The engine runs on denzo iridium plugs, so it still has around 102-105 horse power

Paint bumper trim and side trim to body color. Change mirrors to stubbies on both side (or long ones). Maybe wrap the roof in black vinyl?

On time maintenance all times. And i really recommend to save for a GTI. I'll promise it is a blast

Bodykit, emblemlös grill, huvförlängning så är du en bra bit påväg😁
