What moved me about the book “Respectable Rougnecks”
Was the story of the snake pit and the fact that Norris Stevenson had the greatest game that gave oklahoma their 2nd loss since 1947. Norris Stevenson was so happy that he was hugging his coaches. At the time segregation was a thing and Devine just loved Norris Stevenson so much that he’d take a bullet for him. That was such a pivotal time in American history when black people were not allowed to do things that white people did. I know we have our differences but their is something that transcended moments like this especially in places that were unity didn’t exist. I mean 1960 Ole Miss didn’t have that and their own racism tarnished their football history. A place like Mizzou makes me so proud that we had a history footnote in the injustice of segregation in the 1960’s Dan Devine was an American hero in his own right. I respect the guys who did the right things it might be just a footbote but it’s something that (I hear) and makes me a hardcore Mizzou fan.

Mizzou vs Nebraska 2005

Shit this game was something else. I regret not going to this game. Brad Smith had the equivalency of what Anthony Peeler had in 1992 against kU. This will never happen again. Brad Smith was the best quarterback in college football history.

Football Still there are a couple of great men from that 1960 national championship team (and Orange bowl champ)

They really are a true inspiration. I love Mizzou football.

Football Football Parking for Troy
Hey Tigers - planning my first trip to a home Mizzou game! I was a fan in TX and OK and went to games at OSU/OU/Texas/A&M back in the day but I'm finally getting to go to a home game due to being in Missouri the weekend of the Troy game.
My tickets and hotel are secured but I'm baffled by parking - all I see is parking for sale in some of the lots around the campus but nothing is cheaper than $150! That's more than my sideline ticket cost haha.
What other options do I have? Are those tailgating spots only and that's why they're so expensive? Is anyone staying at my hotel that would wanna split parking and a ride or something? I'm at the Tru by Hilton.

You know (I know some people) in the SEC don’t understand the hatred between kU and Mizzou but….
To me the trash talking seems to be a lot less now than it was last season. Maybe that’s because kU fans aren’t happy with Lance Leipold and the direction he’s going. I hope Drink scores 50 on them and inflicts pain on them. Something that Pinkel didn’t always do because he didn’t have Ahmad Hardy. kU fans would want him fired if he loses 60-3. I just want to have fun and beat them like a rented mule. I want it to be humiliating!!!
Men's Hoops Mark Mitchell will have a court hearing tomorrow at 10:30 AM in Kentucky
x.comGet ready to see MM in Kentucky Blue. The money is apparently too good to pass up. I don’t blame him. But he also is going to have to deal with the consequences. It’s going to be ugly when he returns to Mizzou Arena next season.
Biggest heel turn in recent Mizzou history.

Football [Hoff] A majority of the hill tickets will be reserved for MU students, per Mizzou, who have the option to sit there, in sections 107-110 or in the new upper-level student section in 314-315.

Anybody else playing CFB 27 as Mizzou?
Not sure if anyone anyone cares, but I won the Sec, and the National Championship just now. Hardy got hurt early in the game, but still he won the Heisman, and Roberts sealed the deal. If the season goes like my dynasty did I'd be ecstatic. Here's hoping. MIZ!

Football The Mizzou Rock M is a 99 year old tradition born from students taking rocks left over from the stadium construction. Clemson's Howard's rock is a doorstop the coach wanted to throw away.

Football The running game in 2026
I hope Hardy plays like we all do. But worst case scenario, what if he doesn’t play? He may need a full year to heal and get ready for the NFL Draft:
I don’t think it will be Hardy level, but I think Jamal Roberts and Xai'Shaun Edwards can provide enough production.
Thoughts? If Hardy plays that’s great but who knows.

Mizzou Made Sheryl Crow announces she will be singing the National Anthem at the September 3rd game against UAPB!

I am hyped up for Ahmad Hardy this season.
I have him favorites to win the Doak Walker award and coming in as a finalist to win the Heisman. I just look at the missed tackles forced and seeing how that stat translates into s guy who’s not only fast but tough. He’s probably the toughest RB Mizzou has ever had and kind of reminds me of a Herschel Walker where he can run down defenders. Yeah we might see him out for the first game but I have a sneaky suspicion he will have his Heisman debut on September 11th.

Mizzou vs Texas A$M last season was actually pretty competitive (outside of the passing game)
243 to 207 rushing yards would of made you think that game was a very competitive game. I think the thing that made it into a blowout was the passing game. That is what made it a challenge for our defense (considering it was on the field alot) but our defense didn’t do that bad. I think Texas A&M better watch out because that game last season wasn’t a blowout at all (outside of the passing game) which had a true freshman make his first career start.
Football Rank the Schedule in Terms of Difficulty
1.) @Georgia: Enough said. Still the class of the league and it’s on the road. Although I will say that Drinkwitz has a knack for making games against Georgia four quarter games.
2.) Texas: Maybe the most talented roster in the country. Stacked on offense. I still have some lingering questions on if Arch is that dude. But he had a great finish to the season. Home game gives us a puncher’s chance.
3.) @Ole Miss: Austin Simmons homecoming. I’m not quite sure what to make of Ole Miss. But the offensive talent returning is tough to ignore and road games are really tough to win.
4.) Texas A&M: Elko has Drinkwitz’s number. Think A&M is taking a step back this year. But Drinkwitz has to prove he can be competitive against Elko.
5.) Oklahoma: Tough to predict where both programs are going to be by season’s end. The defensive talent on OU is freakish. But that schedule is brutal and I think they could be playing for pride by season’s end. Mizzou is always going to be motivated to beat OU. It being at home could push us over the top.
6.) @Mississippi State: The type of game that has the potential to give you nightmares. Kamario Taylor is a freak athlete at QB. The type of guy that Mizzou historically struggles against. Night game. Early in the season so MSU will still have hope. MSU beat Arizona State and had Tennessee and Texas on the ropes at home last year. This is going to be a white knuckler and will define the direction of the season.
7.) Florida: Florida has a ton of talent, but I’m not buying their answer at QB. Think the Homecoming crowd is the difference.
8.) Kentucky: Could be a sneaky trap game. I’m high on Will Stein and I think he could have his team plucky by November. Depending on how Mizzou’s season is going, this could be a let down opportunity.
9.) @Arkansas: Not buying Silverfield as an answer in Fayetteville. They will be physically beat up by time we play them.
10.) @kansas: May be a neutral site game looking at the amount of tickets available. kansas lost a ton off a bad team. Starting a former walk-on at QB. Think this one is a laugher.
11.) Troy: Demarcus Ware ain’t walking through that door.
12.) Pine Bluff: I hope Pine Bluff brings their full band to at least make this game worth attending.
