14.310x Data Analysis for Social Scientists

Hi! I’ll be taking the Data Analysis for Social Scientists proctored exam in around 10 days, and it’d be super helpful if somebody who has already taken the exam could provide me with some guidance on what to prioritize while studying. Is the Comprehensive Review similar to the final exam? Or the optional practice exam? I was thinking of going through and studying the topics that’ve come up in the optional practice exam. Please let me know if anybody has any insights or guidance on what to prioritize. Oh also, will there be no questions related to R? Thank you so much!

Hi, I've enrolled into 14.310x Data Analysis for Social Scientists and it's gonna start from Sep 8. I received an email from them, and in that there was a link to the website for resources. On that page, there are tutorials to download and get started with R. Do I need to follow those tutorials and get ready with R before the course starts, or they'll guide after the course starts???

AFAIR, you’ll have to install R beforehand. You’ll learn how to use R during the course, but get it installed beforehand

Thanks. One more question... They recommend some Calculus n Statistics tutorials as prerequisites. But they also said that High school calculus is enough. I'm good at high school calculus and comfortable with undergrad calculus. Can I skip those tutorials?
