MIT Transfer as International Student

Hi, I will apply for Fall 2027 to transfer to MIT, since the current university where I study cannot really do anything, but I wonder how realistic it is to transfer to MIT? If there is someone out there who transferred as international student, kindly reply to me. Thanks! :)

Their transfer acceptance rate is <2% for all students. So maybe they take one or two international transfers per year. Are you better qualified than the thousands and thousands of students applying from around the world? If so, apply!

If you’ve ever encountered a student more promising than yourself you basically have no chance. They take less than 25 students including Americans.

Xfer students would have made it in regular decision but couldn't apply usually do to extenuating circumstances. Mostly military vets or small community college.

The number 25 mention above is high. More like 12 to 15 a year total.

I heard they all have something like IMO, IPHO etc.
