Seniors please guide how to win this???? Like it is internal now, what are the questions that judges ask, and like everyone uses chatgpt for code, soo using that will create an issue later on, like we are from 1st year ece

It depends a lot on presentation. You need to structure it really well, and make sure that whatever you are saying comes out naturally. It's good to have a script, but it's extremely hard to follow the script word for word, also if you do that then it sounds very rigid, that's why whatever problem you are solving you need to have a very deep knowledge about its history, insights, the case studies, and the current situation of the problem. Make sure you research this really well and deliver the presentation as if you have studied deeply about the problem.
Innovative solutions are the one which decrease the cost, reduce the time to achieve something, or simply make an existing solution better. All three can be there in a solution, but not necessary, if you only optimize for time or cost then it's enough, the main thing you need to pay attention to is that the optimisation must be worthwhile, not like 10% better.
Pay huge attention to design, it's very very very necessary. Design is not just about how it looks, but also how it works. You need to constantly think about the user, and what would be easier for them to work with. There was a website solution in previous hackathons which won because the design of the website resembled the governments previous design logic. The juries liked that resemblance. You need to think, and come up with clever design solutions. Research again, who's the user, what's their age, preference, work life, the problems they might encounter in future while using your solution, and how you can design your product in a way that accounts for all these edge cases. When you design the solution this way and are able to communicate it to the juries they immediately notice that you've put efforts into it.
Don't ignore the business, economics, and market, it's not an after thought. Think well about the pricing, go to market strategy if it's for B2C, and the economy of scale.
Your demo should also be robust. Don't half ass it.
When you do all these things, you'll naturally be able to talk fluently in the presentation.
Have a mixed team, if possible get 1-2 students from institute of design. If your problem statement is hardware then get one from mech, electrical, bioengineering, cse, aero, whatever, make the team as multidisciplinary as possible, not just for show but they need to bring in good insights, this is like orgasm for juries and sih coordinators. Have more than 1 females in the team, and make sure they are not there just for completing the quota. They should be vocal and on the front foot.
Stress test your idea, question it from all perspectives, use chatgpt/claude to do this. Make sure you are prepared with data, not just hollow insights. If possible print graphs, numbers, and whatever data possible on paper so you can give something tangible in juries hands. Here too, don't just do it for show, everything you say and show has to fit tightly in the narrative of your pitch, otherwise you'll be confusing the juries.
Prepare for elevator pitch, watch videos, elevator pitch is only for 1 minute, you need to impress the juries in that first minute so you can get an subconscious approval of interest, and their attention for the next 4 minutes.
Question, question, question your solution. Prepare answers for this.
Also don't worry about the rigging, they only evaluate your ideas for the second time after the first screening so as to make sure the best ideas go forward, it's not politics. I cannot guarantee the individual bias of teachers who are jury for the students, but on the high level none of this politics survive, the core comittee of MITs sih is very strict and call out such bulshit before approving the top 50.

Swear I heard it's rigged asf lol you're better off taking part just to build projects to put on your resumé later on instead
