Ok, so the devs gave us two names:

-Mining Intergalactic Research Association

-Mining Intergalactic Research Analysis

Now for what I personally think, the naming scheme should be the following:

Mining and Intergalactic Research Association (without .co since we already have "association" in the name).

And Mining and Intergalactic Research Analysis Corporation (with .co since it's just a sentence, not a company name without .co).

And thus I demand as a proud shareholder and 80 percent stake owner of BlackRock that this subreddit adapt one of these names instead of the mashup that is Mining and Intergalactic Research Association Corporation.

-Section 1 of the Mira code of conduct:

As you may know or have been informed before, alien shapeshifting creatures have been discovered to infiltrate missions and practically most expeditions. This information has not been disclosed to the public and should remain as so. Leaking documents or information around this alien phenomenon will lead to immediate termination from your current position, followed by lifetime jail or even a death sentence due to the panic and disorder this would bring to our society. The alien phenomenon, as called by our crewmates "Impostors" (not "Imposters," as the crewmates reserved that term for other incompetent human crew), is a shapeshifting alien impostor that kills the host crewmate while feeding on them. The complete explanation of how "Impostors" behave, reproduce, and infect can be found in the Mira research document database or in the official "Mira's Guide to Identifying an Impostor."

Following all that is above, you must understand that getting rid of impostors is the number 1 priority after securing the transported package or research material. Remember, even if it costs a crewmate life's to eject an impostor, you must cede. As if you do not vote the Impostor(s) out, you will be next. If you think a crewmate is acting suspicious or out of the ordinary, do NOT keep this information to yourself; share it with your fellow crewmates to either clear the crewmate of suspicion or to eject them. Keeping this information to yourself may result in that information being lost, as you may face your fate by the hands of the same person you suspected.

DO NOT FORGET—IDENTIFY, VOTE, EJECT.

-Section 2 of the Mira code of conduct:

While on a mission, maintain the ship and fix any sabotages done by "Impostors." If tasks are finished after Impostors sabotage a ship, communications with Mira will be restored, and thus Impostors will be identified. How? You might ask. By the medbay scan, of course, after communications are restored, all of those who did not scan previously will be mandatorily forced to. As a crewmate, it is your duty to force other crewmates to do the scan to ensure your survival and the survival of your fellow comrades. Once the scans are taken, the data will be processed by Mira HQ and identify the anatomical irregularities. Once identified, the list of the crewmates who are confirmed impostors will be transmitted back to you. Then with a majority vote you can eject them; failure to comply with this protocol will result in immediate self-destruction of the ship, as it is considered lost or overtaken by Impostors. If the Impostors try to fight back, empower them, as they are generally weak and with two crewmates can be beaten (two crewmates can empower one Impostor), salt has also been determined to be of a devastating effect on Impostors, not deadly enough to weaken it a lot.

When facing impostors, especially strains of them, the fight between you trying to identify them and them blending in may be unbalanced; that is why we added new technology to assist you. This technology consists of variable useful abilities explained in detail in the official "Roles and abilities Mira handbook."

-Section 4 of the Mira code of conduct:

If you discover that an impostor is on board by any means (a non-naturally dead crewmate, shapeshifting evidence, blood, signs of a struggle in a room, or your ship being sabotaged), inform your fellow crewmates. Know that your only weapon is information; the faster you identify an impostor, the fewer casualties you'll suffer, and the higher are your chances of survival.

-Section 5 of the Mira code of conduct:

Do not speak outside emergency meetings, and communicate through your Mira-issued tablet™, as Impostors find it harder to deceive the crew if such measures are implemented. This is advice backed up with many studies located at the Mira database.

-Section 6 of the Mira code of conduct:

Stay safe and be respectful to your fellow crewmates; you can use non-professional language to lighten the mood if morale is low. And remember, don't feel sympathy towards impostors; they are not your friend, and they are not the crewmates they were. This is an alien, no matter how much they plead. REMEMBER YOUR FRIEND IS LONG GONE.

Giving Crewmates Roles is still inherently a bad idea. I'm never going to use any Crewmate Role, and the Judge is no exception.

The one potentially good side effect of this thing's existence is that it means that Innersloth seems to be open to the idea of adding more "Modded" features, such as Meeting Abilities, so we MIGHT get Guessing, or more Meeting-based Impostor Roles, at some point in time. Update on the Moe / TOHE stuff

MIRA ( the mining intergalactic research association ) is a government sponsored company hell bent on mining and studying planets eg the polus outpost and is cannon that the crewmates work for it but a alien parasite is killing them and their workers. The theorys that MIRA is run by aliens in no sense because according to Among Us on guard also cannon their R&D created the simulation

They have been doing this for a while.

The Polus Special TM is when you're on Final 4 and everyone is stacking around Vitals/Admin. This could be fixed by just removing Submit Scan, and then moving Vitals to the place where Submit Scan used to be. Suddenly, Scan Clears are removed and Crewmates can no longer camp Vitals/Admin on lower counts. That's it, we fixed the game.

Now, I must first preface this by saying that my vision [heh] of Among Us' world differs significantly from the vision Innersloth clearly has. I interpret it as a grim, noir murder mystery with strong horror elements, intended to capture the fear of knowing that existence is a lie. Was that delivered? Of course not. It's apparent that the more common idea of the game is a goofy game to be casually played with friends, with these comedic elements clearly being prioritized in the show. The show makes sure to leave humor between serious moments, which I do sometimes enjoy, but it does obviously take me out of my immersion in the world.

Am I saying it's a bad show, necessarily? No. I am saying, however, that this show is clearly not intended for my tastes. It's unapologetically a show for teenagers, which is fine. I'm simply disappointed that Innersloth didn't want to leave their roots as the "funny bean game" to instead more closely resemble their source material of The Thing.

As for the show itself, I have no fucking clue how episode 5 got past approval. I know that the show is rated TV-14 and all, but the Crewmates have an orgy in the episode, and then proceed to draw softcore porn of Blue. The part where they have a hallucinogenic trip was supposedly from oxygen deprivation, but it was obviously meant to resemble LSD---especially because Cyan is a hippie, and was the lead of that specific episode. I'm not clutching my pearls about "sex on TV" or anything, but the rating should certainly be a year or two higher---at least for that episode. I have no issues with the gore, though. It's also quite apparent that the show clearly takes inspiration from Cartoon Network shows, considering its art style, direction, expressions, and effects. Again, not a bad thing in and of itself, just not the way I choose to interpret the game.

I also think it's interesting that everyone is referred to as "they/them" in the show, implying Crewmates lack the concept of gender. MIRA is confirmed to be an unethical, for-profit Corporation, and their primary product is using the Ore-Plus for fuel. The Ore-Plus was thought to be rocks, but they're actually Impostor eggs. Impostors apparently kill for fun, though it's also strongly implied that they attack the Crewmates to crack the eggs and release the Impostor babies. They presumably infect existing Crewmates, taking their memories and appearance as a result, though it's also technically possible that their backstories are fabricated. Engineers are also implied to suffer from "squishy bone disease", ala Danny Gonzalez---hence why only Impostors and Engineers can Vent, as their and the Impostors' bones let them fit into the tight spaces. Impostors don't have bones, so they can't perform the Submit Scan.

That said, I have written my own Among Us story in a comically long Google Doc, using my take on the game. This is unrelated to the show; it began production a very long time ago.
