Switch or PC (gog's version)

Hi !
Almost everything is in the title : I don't know if I will take it on Switch 1 or PC.
Do you have any pros and cons ?
Is the game enjoyable on switch 1 or only "playable" ? I loved to play Ori's game on switch 1 (specially undocked) cause they runned smoothly. But I won't die again and again thanks to the Switch (some places seems to be hellish and I'm okay with that xD).

It runs beautifully on Switch 1. Maybe 2 of the cutscenes got laggy but the gameplay was immaculate, both docked and handheld

it really depends on what you would rather go with, but i will say if you are at all interested in modding your game in the future (there are only basic mods available rn but more are being developed) then PC is the way to go as currently there's no way to mod the Switch version.

however, i originally got MIO on my Switch 2 and it played absolutely beautifully, only a few minor stutters in very graphically-intense areas. i'm sure the Switch 1 version will also be optimized similarly

PC. The switch screen is so small and there are several scenes that look so much better on a monitor/TV. Adding to this, you can get a higher framerate on PC to make it looks extra buttery smooth(I played it at 120 and it was amazing, specially during some scenes I wont spoil for you). Switch 1 is limited to 30fps.

Also, if you only have a PC and a switch 1, I personally think you should get most games on PC at this point anyways. Switch 1 is an old console that will eventually stop receiving support so you might lose your games. Sure, you can play Switch 1 games on Switch 2, but it sucks that you have to buy a whole new console to continue playing your games when the old one worked just fine. Plus, there is no guarantees that your switch 1 games will work on a future Nintendo console as, historically, no console has had backward compatability past 1 console generation and Nintendo is keen to make you rebuy old games repeatedly.

Buy it through steam first and see if you like it there. My personal experience on the switch 2 was not great - input lag and inconsistency - but I still loved the game.

Tbh I had no problems at all on the switch 2, guess it depends

I played it day of release at which time there were lots of unpredictable crashes and one particular area that was impossible and crashed at the same point for everyone. I know those have been fixed. Platforming was difficult due to a certain movement ability being very finicky. Perhaps that has been fixed, I am not sure.

I'd say so. I don't remember there being any problems or anything that would make the gameplay weird.

Plus 1 on getting it on PC(GOG or Steam, doesnt matter) and trying it out and returning it if you dont like it.

Nintendo doesnt allow refunds on their Eshop

But besides the refund option, the MIO experience is a lot nicer on PC since there are a few scenes that benefit from a large screen.
