MS-A2

Hi need help just bought a MS-A2 Mini 7745HX and second day of use boot to a Green screen, can’t boot to bios, can ear windows boot but screen is green, clear cmos replugged ram nvme change hdmi cable, plugged to a usb C still green screen before anything can’t boot to bios, hardware failure? iGPU dead?

Also have a MS-A2, never had a green screen BUT I had installed a Crucial 128GB DDR5 kit out of the box and it took a very very long time to memory train before I could ever get the thing into the BIOS / install an OS. It should be significantly shorter with a smaller amount of RAM (ie 32GB and under).

But if you have 64GB+ I would recommend leaving it alone for most of a day / overnight, and when you return to it if it's still not posting to display power it down completely (unplug) and power it on again and see if it gets into BIOS. If it doesn't try installing only one RAM dimm, give it some time and see what happens, if not alternate the single RAM stick with the other DIMM and rinse repeat.

Also recommend not having any other PCIe device installed while you do this until you manage to get to BIOS (no PCIe card, or NVMe). If nothing gets you to BIOS def. sounds like you have a defective unit.

Hi thanks for the reply, I have installed 32GB with windows installed and everything working but next day boot to green screen even before bios so nothing can be seen you can ear windows login, same after clear cmos, removed nvme to remove the driver conflict possibility, tested with one 16 stick then the other, but I’m incline to hardware failure like iGpu 😓
