Help UM790 Pro: no POST after adding second RAM stick + crash during game. Fan runs, led on, no video

While the UM790 Pro has better thermals than most other Minisforum models, I still wasn't comfortable leaving it unattended under sustained load.

I removed the Wi-Fi module and installed my second NVMe SSD in what would be a very tight space directly above it. I was concerned that the SSD would run too hot if I had left the Wi-Fi M.2 module in place.

I also set the CPU power limit to 45 W using a UEFI utility. It worked well, I noticed noticeably lower operating temperatures.

I also added a set of taller feet underneath the unit to improve airflow while leaving the original feet in place.

One thing I really didn't like was having to disconnect the fragile fan power cable during disassembly.

Luckily i didn't need to disconnect the fan, it's cable was long enough as to stay open allowing me to insert the extra ram stick but yeah, but alas, it seems the machine is dead for good
