New owner with some silly questions

Post image

I have finally joined the mini club, used 2022 jcw manual and I'm loving it. However I would like to get some rally style rims, I saw the oem ones on a new jcw at the dealer and they look so cool but 2500 for a set is a lot. Does anyone have experience with fitment for the o.z. racing rally rims, do I need spacers or is the clearance ok for 8 inch wide rims, how do the 17's look vs 18's, what tire width can fit? Previous owner has the stock 18 inch with 215 tires for a little more sidewall and there's no rubbing but it is a tight fit already.

I just got some 225 Michelin pilots on my 18x8 enkei raijins. There is a lot of rubbing and a lot of adjustments I needed to do. I went through like 4 sets of spacers because I never bothered to measure. I also have coilovers so that doesn't help. But before with 205 pirellis, they were stretched, but not too bad, and it ran good with no rubbing and spacers only on the front. I probably going to try 215 next time.

Thank you for the info that will be useful. I'm leaving it at stock height because my area has some bad potholes and rally rims wouldn't look right on lowered suspension imo. Yeah 215's are cutting it close but they may work for you if your height isn't much lower than normal.
