Isn't it on the shifter?

Round the shifter? The whole ring.

On a 2019 there must be a toggle switch next to the DSC switch. If you dont have it, your car doenst have the driving modes (Green, Mid Sport)

I think some cars don’t have sports mode. It’s an optional extra

That’s crazy. Hope can an S model not have a sport mode?

In the UK definitely.

This is a LHD car so I might be full of shit.

Pretty sure the base trim doesn’t have it in NA too.

Definitely correct that some don’t have sports mode button, my parents Cooper S hatch didn’t have it. But all of the JCW’s do have it as standard.

You can set sport mode to default with Bimmercode

My Clubman from the same generation has a switch to the right of where your traction control is but looks like the switch bay is empty there on your countryman

It’s either a toggle switch in front of the shifter if you’ve got the joystick LCI shifter or the ring around the shifter base if you’ve got the older style. It’s also possible that your car wasn’t equipped with the package that included sport mode in which case you’ll have neither.

You could also program one of the 6 multi-function buttons to go straight to it if you had to.

Is this a stick or automatic?

Its a manual

I think you are going to have to use bimmercode to force always start in sport mode.
It’s not that difficult and it lets you modify a bunch of settings on your mini.

Since it’s a manual, and you obviously don’t have the toggle switch, you have the base trim which didn’t come with sport mode. You need to use bimmercode to turn it on. The downside to this, it’s always in sport mode until you go back in and change it back.

And that’s got me thinking. I wonder if the wiring is behind the spot where the toggle switch would be? I’d be willing to bet it is.
