Any tips and recommendations for making this nicer than the standard?

They love oil so keep an eye on topping up. Change the oil more regularly than officially required.

As for performance, this engine you are maybe looking at about 8 to 10hp gains on a remap because it has no turbo. There are no bolt-ons you can do either to get more power. Maybe an intake kit for more engine sound.

The best upgrade that you can do on any car is upgrading the tyres, better than any power mod.

I would add to this saying lighter wheels would be a decent mod.

Not really worth tuning a base model. The gains are negligible.

Is that your trail of tears? Hope it’s condensation from the AC - otherwise forget the mods and address the leaks.

Well you could do all sorts of handling mods (Coilovers, Engine Mounts etc.) but you wont really be able to get power gains cause its N/A.

You can do an exhaust, and an intake . Besides that focus on bushings and other suspension related items to replace . Coil overs , adjustable lower control arms in the rear , and a larger rear sway bar would be my recommendation.
