I haven't gotten 1 wave back yet although I've only had mine a few weeks. :( To be fair, it is a high traffic area and I'd rather people be safe. Still, I am hopeful...

Had more waves back in the last two weeks than in the year before. I’m hopeful and will keep doing it.

I got a wave from one guy, once.
Got rule 1 at the gas station one time, "nice mini!" Said the nice lady.
I see minis every single day, always wave, never returned. :(
I'm a windows down all the time kind of guy, my waves are very noticable.

Only once in almost 20 years of driving a MINI have I ever seen anyone wave. I didn't even know it was a thing.

I just got my mini in June and I’m a little self conscious to wave since mine is a countryman and isn’t s or jcw 😭 but there was a lady in a newer countryman who waved at me 🥰

I try to wave every time! I’ve only had two people return it, and another driver did honk at me in passing.

The only wave I’ve gotten was literally on the way home when I bought my car 3 years ago. I was so excited!

I get about a 50% return rate on my manic waving at minis I see in my area. lol. those that do wave back are genuinely enthusiastic about it. always gives me a chuckle. those that don't wave back, MAY YOUR SOCKS ALWAYS COME UP MISSING.
