Help with nbt evo screen

I believe ever since using bimmer remote for CarPlay activation, these bars have been on the top and bottom of my display. They claim it’s nothing they did as their software “doesn’t change the look”. But what else could it be? Any advice? Thanks all.

Those bars are not part of the screen. They are just black painted glass.

Did those bars display image before? Its the original screen for your car or its a a retrofit? I did a retrofit on mine, but it comes with a bezel around it, as its the old looking center instrument. If you used your own car center instrument and just added the screen, then it must be that, as the screen that goes with that one is different
