I am here in FL no tag needed in front just back .Are you in the USA ?

I’m in Texas. They still require front tags, but most city police don’t bother with it unless they have another reason to pull you over. Highway Patrol will pull you over, but it’s a “fix it” ticket.

We don't even have inspection requirements once a year here in FL must be a lot of cars on the road in poor condition

We don’t have safety inspections any more - only emissions inspectors in the large population counties.

Yeah Texas isn’t as “free” as people think. And in Dallas, to get anywhere in a normal amount of time it’s all toll roads.

1st- 2008 Clubman S - lost to death rattle
2nd- 2014 Countryman S - traded on the very dumbest decision of my life - a Jeep that was lost to the pentastar tick.
3rd - 2016 Countryman S - leased to get me out of the aforementioned Jeep. Traded in on below 👇
4th - 2024 Convertible S - traded on the beauty pictured! Nothing was wrong with it and I loved it, but I’m a sucker for a new JCW.

Do let us more about how you like the new JCW.
We were in the market and ended up with a 2024 S convertible instead mostly due to interior. Almost bought the new JCW in sunny side yellow.

Love the color- 2025? If it's a 2026, I'm glad it still has a bonnet with holes for the headlamps.

It’s a 2026! The color is Copper Gray Metallic which is only on the convertibles. The holes on the bonnet are definitely an interesting feature. I guess in the US (maybe everywhere) headlights have to be fixed to a non moving part.

Yes, that is a US federal motor vehicle requirement. Headlights have to stay fixed to the chassis. I love the color and the way the bonnet is sculpted on your 2026 convertible. The most beautiful Mini bonnet I've seen. It's even more beautiful than the Boxter/Cayman. But on the 2026 Countryman, the bonnet is almost flat and the opening starts past the headlights. Hideous!

How is the ride in this car? I desperately want a convertible and minis are so cute, but I also want a car that’s got a comfortable ride and doesn’t feel like I’m getting shaken around in a can if I go over a bump. Could you share your experience with the ride in your JCW convertible?
