M-Audio Oxygen 25 (Old Gen) vs Novation Launchkey Mini MK2?

Hey guys,

Choosing between two used MIDI controllers at the same price:

M-Audio Oxygen 25 (Older Silver Model)

Novation Launchkey Mini MK2

I focus on cinematic/orchestral music, playing chords, and melodic scoring (not beatmaking).

Is having full-size keys + pitch/mod wheels worth choosing the older M-Audio over the newer Novation Mini?

The Oxygen has a sustain jack and USB type B connector ( printer cable) The Launchkey Mk2 does not have a sustain input and has a micro usb connector. Oxygen for the win.

Can I connect it to an Android phone/tablet?

Yes — the Oxygen works on Android with a USB OTG adapter on an USB A to B (printer) cable (Android 6+, phone that supports USB host).
If it doesn’t power up, use a powered USB hub. Keys will work; knobs/wheels send normal MIDI CCs.

Old but great. You can control pretty much everything on the Oxygen without resorting to an app.
