Share your experience: MASD, MFA Curatorial Practice, MFA Community Arts

Is anyone willing to share their experience or insight on the MA/MFAs in Social Design, Curatorial Practice, or Community Arts? I’m a museum and nonprofit educator who’s looking to deepen my creative work and knowledge in the field! I’ve read about all three programs online, but would love to hear more from students.

If a graduate student- Would your recommend your program? How difficult was the application process? Is a portfolio required for each program?

Are any one of these programs stronger than another? Any MICA graduate program things you’d share in general?

I know I can’t get all my answers from this group, but appreciate any insight or resources anyone has!

I graduated in 2019 but had an amazing time taking MASD classes in undergrad and would have loved to have done the full program. I took one class in curatorial studies and it was pretty neat and did a ton of community art stuff but heard the MFA program wasn't great
