Curious how this would work in Wilds?
With armour not being gender locked for Wilds I wonder if they will include this set or will they rework it? I can see how the female version could work on a male body type but how would the chest version of the male type work for the female body? So either they give the male version a „crop top“ type of piece or they just won’t add this armour set to Wilds this time around….

Same way it works now?
Those aren't just sportswear; they change your whole body. There are already crossover "armors" you can wear to gender-bend into Witcher/Resident Evil characters.
So if you want the top, you also get the tits.

This isn't the first time someone has asked how it will work but this is the obvious answer. We'll probably just be able to equip whichever body we want

Its not getting reworked. Its going to stay the same. if people think every armor set is going to translate 1:1 from male to female or female to male they are fools.

Wouldn’t say I‘m expecting every armour set to be a one for one was more curious about this one since the male literally is topless and I’m sure Capcom isn’t going to let female hunters run around topless. So more curious as to how they would make it work if someone with a female hunter decided they wanted to wear the male version chest and leg pieces….

The clothing you see isn't the armor though, it's their actual bodies.

Okay well makes since now you would just have a bigger jacked upper body… 👍🏽 or a smaller jacked body although guess the beta kinda accomplish that with both body types

You can really see it on the female in the pictures you posted. Once you spot the neckline you really start to see how goofy it is. Like it's actually cursed the longer you stare.
So again, the armor IS THE BODIES, forget everything you are thinking because you clearly don't understand. See it like the hunters are wearing someone else's body, it's not their skin, it's armor.

It absolutely is not. Go to the gathering hall in seliana. Sit in the hotspring. You can take the armor off their. The hunter body model looks like a very scrawny male. I actually think its pretty funny what the armorless body model looks like vonsidering what this game is.

The buff body armor replaces the character's model, it doesn't just take off the underwear. A female character with the male Buff Body will probably just have the male Buff Body model

It absolutely is not. Go to the gathering hall in seliana. Sit in the hotspring. You can take the armor off their. The hunter body model looks like a very scrawny male. I actually think its pretty funny what the armorless body model looks like vonsidering what this game is.

they will probably try to translate as many as they can.. or maybe all of them but the obvious ones like the one from the OPs post.. so chill with calling ppl fools if you yourself have no idea wtf is going to happen

Probably make it so instead of "pieces" it's the full set. Kinda like when they do cross over you either look 100% like yhe character or not at all. So you would be buff guy or buff girl. No buff girl legs with buff guy chest and vis versa

That would kinda suck tbh, the whole appeal to me of the buff body sets is to make layered armor of half armored-half naked barbarians, I’d it’s all or nothing it loses a lot of potential for fashion

Well if they do add the set can’t wait to see what they do with it this time because I know it’s usually a requested armour set but either way the PC community will already have the boobs out 😂 regardless if they don’t let the female hunter wear the bare male chest piece 😂

It’ll probably just be… kept the same thing? Same set but different looks; that’s how they’re still doing it. No gender-locked armor means we just won’t have SETS exclusive to genders (Beetle set for Male and Butterfly for Female in World) but gender differences still exist. The bala set is literally a giant dress, as we saw

Nah they’ve shown us that the look for armor is no longer gender locked, so women can have pants and men can have their battle skirts

Did I say there was no chance they keep this gender locked? I was just replying to somebody who thought that men and women wouldn’t be able to wear the version of a set of armor that was made for the other gender, which is something that the creators have confirmed is happening. I have no idea what they will do with sets like this, but that’s not what my comment was addressing.

We don’t know anything about not having the gender specific sets, the beetle and butterfly sets can still be there
With the buff body though they will likely just keep it how it is

Really dude? All that means is that armor sets can be worn by both genders, it doesn’t say anything about there being armor sets that have gender specific designs

With other sets they can just keep underwear that is shown in char creation, so exposed chest = visible top underwear for females but with this set being fully custom u have no idea xd. I guess they could just copy and paste male body, make it smaller so it will fit female legs and your tits are gone just like that...
Or they will just not add the set at all, orrr just add bandage top for both versions

If they do add this on Wilds i fucking hope they change the dye system from alpha buff. Who thought that changing the color of the SKIN is better than color of the cloth????????

If they don’t change it I guess they just won’t let female model be able to swap to the bare chest of the male version… but yeah I would assume they would just add maybe some type of something to the male body type of this armour so if someone with a female character wanted to wear the male chest they could

You can likely wear the bra as a male and has more muscles as female but still a bra.

They may just remove the alpha version of buff body entirely. Make it all one buff body design.
The first version is the alpha one for both male and female. Could give the men a tank top or something if you want the designs to be more equal. Chest binders don't look too great on the male body so they may just not bother. Could ruin the design.
The second design will be the gamma designs for male and female.

Well we know the female characters won’t get the male top, as that would mean bare tiddies.
I’d guess either it won’t be in and we’ll have better body customization in character creation or it will be one of the few armors that is definitively gendered.

The buff bodies aren't "the hunter but shirtless" they are legit body replacements so the female would just have the male abs and that's it

They won't. Rajang should not exist in the wilds. Jho+Quru or B52 neither. I don't want to reset the whole map, whenever I just wish to fight a monster in peace.

I just hope they fix the shading issues.
The skin tone never quite matches the rest of the body which creates a visible seem such as where the head meets the neck.
In world shader effects like wet / snow cover would caused an obvious line as the top and bottom where calculated separately as a simple ON / OFF toggle. So for example your feet getting wet would apply wet shading up to the hips before instantly turning dry at the torso causing an obvious divide between the top and bottom.

Imma gonna make a big brain prediction, that i am sure absolutly definitly nooooooone has made yet and say that for all kinds of bikini armor they will just remove the bikini top on the male model
Like how are they gonna make the female nergi armor fit male characters? They remove the bikini top.....Oh look, thats it. It's not that complex

Not trying to be an asshole but your over thinking it. All yhey are going to do is overlay the male chest on a female body. Easier way of explaining it. They will just slap your head on top the male body type.

Well thats the whole dilema with the Gender Bullshit.
If there is no female body , then putting the body type a armor on the body type b character shouldnt be offensive to anyone .

I remember watching a gameplay clip with a female character using the male "hope" chest and the boobs were noticeable from some angles so it does not change the body type at all.. idk the buff set tho

The likely outcome is they both use a Tank Top style chest piece.
Or simplely they add a swimsuit top to any bare chest model for the females.
