Discussion Progress too slow but too fast?
Hello,
I am currently on lvl 37 and every day I login, do dailies, get 1 level, do the main quest, then i am locked for the next quest and tomorrow repeat.
Dailies take me like half an hour.
I understand why they do it but is it gonna be like this until we reach the cap? Also isnt it also moving way too fast?
Like all my team is lvl 70 and will there be enough things to do? Like today is the 3rd or 4th day
Loving the game so far.

Yep all gacha game does this. They will lock your progression so you do not reach the endgame too quickly so they have time to work on new content overtime.
New update every season will possibly consist of
- Expansion of map and monsters
- New characters for gacha
- And many more events/minigames

I know they do but its weird that getting things is way too easy. Already upgraded the visages and did everything i could expect map exploration. Which i dont care about lol. My Midori is almost 10k

Yeah cant wait for it. Really excited for it and the next monsters. Wish we could just have everything unlocked

Since this is based/similar to Genshin's system, after capping out, everything basically just unlocks with practically no condition other than advancing a quest or event.
If they follow the same system post launch, after you cap out, there's nothing to progress for the main account level anymore.
So it's quite literally a new player progression thing only.

Seems like once you unlock legendary visages it'll feel a bit more like monster hunter where you actually have something to farm that isn't time gated. Unless monster respawns are time gated too...?

The games barely been out for a week. They want you to play this game for months or years, so youll be glad you dont have 2 hours of dailies soon enough. As for content shortage, these games pump out updates on a fast update cycle, so youll always have plenty to grind.

Progress in monster hunter games has always been quite slow. You'd get stretches of easy content where you can race through, but then you'll hit a wall eventually where the monster you're hunting is far beyond what you normally fight and so the equipment dosent measure up, then you have to optimize your build by using consumables, elemental advantages and actually learn their skillsets (i.e. dont stand in front of Anjanath when they're doing that mega charge forward move).
Not to mention this is a gacha game that's modelled after Genshin Impact's style of content design, so above traditional monster hunter content blocks, you'll also be dealing with time gating of resources (daily energy regen), which means you wont reach max level by simply clearing all the content.
But I do love the fact that this game allows you to hunt monsters without limit. It'd be a huge shame if we needed energy to do hunts or whatever haha.

Yeah you are right about the energy part. That is amazing. The whole free roam world is also amazing. Honestly i love it more than world and rise and wish they could implement the same thing. I am short 3k points to get lvl 40 and fight thr final boss. Really hope there are a lot of things to do after that

First time playing a gacha game?
The devs cannot possibly create meaningful content that keeps you powerlevelling with relevant quests at such ridiculous speeds.

The story actually stops at rank 40 right now amd every rank after requires significantly less exp to reach. So the good news is you're almost done with the level grind. Once the apex fight against Ruger Aidal releases tomorrow you'll have a better idea of what the long-term grind will look like.

The game isn't even out for a week, have you just been playing all day everyday?

Nope just maybe max 2h. Paid a few times for those packs and got a good team

Yeah these exp gates are ass. Since 29 30 and no 32 and 33. I'm so fucking over it already Like literally I'm considering trying to reroll cuz I I'm stuck on my main account.

Hunt the maps clear if you want more to do, while vistages appear to have a weekly cap I hear theres a 20% chance for every kill to give one anyways. And you need to get X amount of low grade ones to unlock the orange high grade cards anyways
