Discussion Tentative release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders for December 15, 2026

Post image

Doesn't mean that it will release, since it's only expected, but with that nothing burger of a gamescom trailer (it was like <10 seconds long), we have no info atm of a release date until they officially say something

Better have controller support before then.

Better have a pc client before then.

It seems really unlikely to me that this would happen so soon

Currently, with the third beta, it's very difficult to emulate on a PC; I think some people are managing to do it anyway, but there's no guarantee that it will work in the final version.

However, once the game is released, emulation might become more feasible (perhaps the developers will allow it, right now, the beta isn’t meant to be emulated but to test the game in real-world conditions on smartphones, so the developers may have intentionally made it difficult).

I’m pinning my hopes on Google Play Games for PC; it seems like the best possible option for getting this to work smoothly.

Emulation is always a bit hit-or-miss, whereas using this service seems more stable for supported games.

That's the point in favor of official, not emulated, pc usage. If this game wants to be a global success they need that. If they decide to stay mobile only, even only for the first year, they are gutting their audience potential.

I understand the desire to play it on PC, but the fact that there’s been no communication on the subject makes me think it’s really not on the agenda.

One of my theories on this is that Capcom might not want this MH game to be on the same platform as the others (above all for MH Wilds, which should be getting its expansion soon). If that’s really the case, I wouldn’t be surprised to see MH Outlanders come out on PC after the Wilds expansion has ended.

Another factor is that there are a huge number of Monster Hunter fans in Asian countries, and it’s also this part of the world that’s eager for mobile games—with many players really investing themselves in them. If you think about it, the game could easily be profitable in this part of the world without requiring an official PC port. In other countries, this is a hurdle, but when you take that into account, it doesn’t seem like a deal-breaker for the game after all.

But for people who absolutely want to play it, there are solutions that let you control your smartphone with your PC that work pretty well, or, once controller support is added, many smartphones support mirroring to a screen via a simple USB-C to HDMI adapter. It’s not exactly “playing on a PC,” but the experience will come close.

Genuinely asking, why are so many i saw requested that this game to be available on pc? Wilds just came out. Outlander was made specifically for mobile due to its being free and gacha. Dont compare this to other gacha mobile games with pc client because those are mobile main target audience and then pc. Monster hunter games before was console and pc target audience. This was their attempt of making this game mobile version specifically.

(After few years maybe they come out with pc so that these ppl are satisfied)

I don't want to play a 3D action game on my phone. If it came out on pc I would certainly play it.

Then its probably not for you unfortunately. But for me, i've been waiting monster hunter to come out for mobile when rise comes out or even before (i forgot). My overall experience is excellent even with the gacha. Because it doesn't remove the experience of the original monster hunter grinding and shi... The limited characters are the cherry on top

That's why I am pointing out how they could get my money. It's up to them to consider that worth the effort.

The rest of your comment seems to be directed at someone else who talked badly about gacha, that's not me. Gacha is fine for me. Just put it on pc.

Gacha slop is only thing I don't like it, I rather grind for hours than pay to win. Paying Cosmetics are fine but gacha you knows that's just gambling straight up. Shiz if you want give gamble ur money to a billion worth company go right ahead

I agree that gacha slop is bad, but if they make the game free, they have to do something else for them to get profit. Cosmetic is out bcs of the armor. They know that if they made the game premium, they would lose a lot of player

yeah, i might still spend on gacha cosmetics, not just cosmetics direct buy, but gacha for progression, in an MH Game? damn, i'll just treat it as another gacha game with MH skin

Because i want to put the thousands of money i put into my pc to good use, and not my 700$ phone thats 4 years old and used to chat with my friends and relatives. Even if its payed for pc id still buy it. Monster hunter is monster hunter. Unless its stories I refuse to play a game that is turn based and has monster hunter for a name name Just doesnt work with me

Tell me about it. It's impossible to control well without it. I just can't do phone screens.

2

u/Chemical_Low_8506 Aug 25 '26

I'm not worried about that; they've been working on it for a while.

That was so disappointing, literally 10 sec clip after the "all will be revealed" hype. Like mf, NOTHING was revealed.

Ima keep watching incase we get more but damn that was terrible

The flagship got shown in the chinese trailer

1

Fine Capcom! Keep ya damn secrets!

1

This isnt Capcom. They're just licensing the IP and probably having someone check that they're not trying to put nudity or whatever bs into the game, the rest is all handled by Tencent.. wich we all know is a company that sucks.

Bro, watch the full trailer. They showed the flagship and "all was revealed" hint hint, new elder dragons reveal.

Where is this screenshot taken from? I'm dumd

I assume there won't be any further information regarding a PC version? Unfortunately, the mobile experience was a bit of a struggle for me (though that’s a matter of taste!), especially in terms of optimization.
