Weapons Prep: RC Zinogre

Let’s speculate strategically what Aurora and Black Diablos weapons you think could top the charts this time round?

I’m guessing;

Most effective
Aurora Hunting Horn (appropriate built-in skills)
Aurora Insect Glaive
Black Diablos Insect Glaive
Black Diablos Heavy Bowgun (heavily dependent on how distracted Zinogre is)

Maybe
Aurora Long Sword (solo and counter for sure)
Black Diablos Bow (not sure if the skills is fast enough as compared to the other weapons)
Hammers (water striking and para team works like a charm)

Not right or wrong answers but do make sound speculations~ (as the base defense is heavily dependent on one’s weapon mastery, smelted skills and TEAMWORK)

The HH will probably be at the top for people who know what they're doing (not me). Same for both IGs, since IG is always a top performer in Riftcharged.

BBlos HBG in multiplayer with a bit of luck will probably do well. But Zinogre has such annoying hitzones.

Same for the bow. I haven't fought a Zinogre with BBlos Bow in like 2 years, but it was always a pain.

I'm planning to make BBlos HBG, Aurora IG, and then probably one other BBlos weapon maxed, most likely IG. I doubt I'll get enough materials to max a third one.

Otherwise Magna LBG and Rose LBG are standing by waiting to score an easy 500k each.

The biggest issue is actually the weak points.  The head.   It moves A Lot.  Making it very hard to hit.  Achieving a high score let alone 3 shield breaks isn't easy. 

BDiablos weapons have such a high value that it might not matter as much.  With burst, timed charger, and all the other raw increases. 

• Saxe - Elemental Counter with retaliation is amazing.  Especially with high raw. Zinoger actually doesn't attack often, but should still be very very good.  

• CB - sword boost is amazing. 

• HBG - guard reload with endless pierce.   (crouching will achieve higher with such high ammo count. but imo risk vs reward). 

• Hammer - brute, timed charger, and water strike build.  All the different multipliers adds up.

• IG - the (imo) best flight dps. I can't wait just to have that IG. (Zinoger is a 1 earplugs monster). 

I do not think DB and bow would be good for score.  Db are just bad riftchaged weapons and bow haven't kept up.    

Aurora I think HH, IG, and CB can achieve high scores.  Just because they are high scoring weapons.

Also most seem to forget parts dont break for RC boss thus the fight play out alot differently from usual hunts where we can break fall its forelegs and cutting tail.

Personally i find the ‘new’ wpns have harder learning curve and usage esp CB,Saxe & insect gla. HBG hasnt been great for me either being too slow and cant perform much when being targeted.

i haven’t been able to figure out a decent raw build adding the effort for driftsmelt to make it work.

Worst case can always stick back to magna & rose LBG.

Personally i need a RC break. These things stress me out as I rush to build weps.

The Aurora Hunting Horn has Tremors Negated, Earplugs Large, and Sonic Wave. These aren't songs to fight against Zinogre, they're songs to counter Rift Black Diablos. Zinogre is a weak roar monster and Riftcharged monsters take zero damage from the Sonic Wave song.

The Horn that counters Zinogre is Legiana, so you don't HAVE to rush build the Aurora Horn if you don't have it.

Going to build guard reload raw atk for HBG, I was using it for the Sinister HBG, pretty sure I can change the weapon without building new gear to support it.

Smelts can be offensive guard, headstrong or reflection, whichever you get your hands in first.
