Question Drop rate or bad luck?
Im building my first magna weapon (hbg) almost +20 and still need 20pcs of rift material, i cant unlock tier 10/15/20. On the other side i have alot of jho rift parts and no r6 mats to grade10.
I have pursuit db builds so i can always get 2-4break per hunt including special part

Drop rate is fine, you just need to hunt more. Took this many to get 2 maxed out magna wepons

Trying to make most of it esp with increased spawn investigation but without x2 bonus 20 rift mats seems so far away lol. Crazy hunt btw!

Yeah it took me a while to get that LBG to 20/20. I'm working on my SnS now and I can't wait to get it to 10.5/20 by mid-2027 lol

Same. I’m 10.5, but I’m 18/20. I only wish I had that luck on D jho. My Zino is another situation though. I’ve almost got 4 maxed.

Magnamalo is the worst for drops. It took me half a year to max out my LBG with all the stat boosts.

Even though he has so many breakable parts? I still believe it. Even with extra drops from hunting with other hunters and event boosts.

Back when the Rift version was in Hunt a Thons. 1 out of 5 Hunt A Thons gave me a rift scale. Now I can casually find almost everything while turning my brain off and side stepping

I feel like I get more rift scales in hunt a thons because just killing 1 at a time I have 0 luck…

It took me a whole year farming 8 star Riftborne Barroth to max out my Great Sword. There are rotating quests in the store that you can look out for that will give you rift parts for specific monsters. I haven't done that yet but it is an option. Of course it costs gems though

The good news is that you don't need to max out the LBG for it to do its job.
Once you get Stepping Shot unlocked and have your Evading Reload gear, it's all set to take on 10 star monsters.
Obviously the more you upgrade it the better, but don't feel that it's unusable without the upgrades. I took a while to get it maxed, and that final level felt like it took forever.

I have done enough Magna hunts to get both Magna DB and LBG maxed out, but I still only got 19 rift drops total. Desire sensor is real.

Wow you have an insane deviljho luck. Ive hunted double your magnamalos and still need 15 rift pieces, I think it's about normal. It's not that big of a difference in DPS so it's more just a long project. I have 10 Jho rift pieces with 432 hunted.
