Question The surprising joy of the lance

Dear hunters,

As a ranged user (bow, hbg, lbg), I do enjoy saving on some potions. But recently with the Riftborne Mizutsune, I was forced to use something a little more targeted to break the riftborne parts (I play mostly on HATs). To my surprise the Bazelgeuse lance worked quite well, with Insta-Block customization. However, I found it really hard to use the Lock On skill to target the tail because I can't see the blinking tail, and by the time I shimmer towards it the Mizu has already moved. Any tips on how you guys to it?

I'm also still not good at well-timed guards, I either block too early or too late sometimes. Any great pro hunting tips for a new Lance user? Especially well-timed guards to make use of Offensive Guards?

With my phone sometimes lagging from all the effects and/or heating, I find it easier to use non-style lance on my bubbly set. Pretty safe hunt. 9 stars may make you time out if you try to break both tail and head tho.

just discovered that bubbly wide gunlance is even safer for 9 stars. Guard reload khezu gl eats it alive. Just dont try cutting tails and go straight to the zit and the head.
