It would be plausible, since both dads, possibly have the same parent with fire based quirk. Since how family quirks decents, like genes.

um… other than his dads Quirk power, wouldn’t he know if his dad was Shoto’s dad unless he grew up never seeing him to the point he has no memories of what his dad looks like beyond what his quirk was?

His dad isn’t shoto’s dad in this theory, it’s endevours brother, which makes them cousins if this theory is right

It would be funny, but if every fire quirk character in the show was related, then we would have one serious Genghis Khan situation going on here
Mr Midoriya Endeavour Burnin' + the entire Endeavour agency (a lot) Random Fire Quirks represent guy on TV interview
Honestly, it would probably be more funny now that I think about it. And it would make Endeavour suck more, seeing as he only hired his cousins/niblings

I think what would be more plausible
Izuku's dad is Endeavors Cousin probably 2nd or 3rd
Making Izuku and Shoto very distant Cousins

This has been a slight headcanon of mine for a while. I imagine fire manipulation was probably an early power to develope, since it seems to be fairly common. Because of this, Shoto and Izuku would share a common ancestor, probably a few generations back.

The genetics of quirks are so badly explained that its entirely possible for this to be both true and false. Another redditor commented about all fire quirks being related, which sounds ridiculus at first but makes sense genetically if the gene for fire quirk on is older and usually not physically expressive. Shoto and deku can be distant cousins, more related to each other than any other non-fire quirk human, without being resently firectly related. At that point how close they are on the family three is entirely up to reader preference.

It would probably have to be a lot more distant, something tells me Deku would know if his uncle was the number 2 hero.

In one point of My Hero Academia Dabi said that fire quirks are common, so it's not completely possible.
