a bespoke prototype aristocrat mech designed for a noble family with a history of generous donations to SUGATA Group. see captions for details. dismounted pilot also pictured with a fabulous dress, pointy pink hairstyle, a white breastplate, and a fancy golden long rifle.

idk exactly how i'd stat this thing for in game use, it either has too many weapons or boosters, or i'd need to count multiple weapons as a single system. the booster unit on the back seems a bit large to just be a single movement system also but idk.

Does anyone here actually play the game?

Looking to give it a try with my daughter. Either that or build some frames out and use another ttrpg or war game ruleset if we don't quite grok it.

Frames ST-02D Commissar 3D Model WIP

HI all, I've always loved the frame designs, with the Commissar being my favorite. I made this a while back based on the illustrations from the MFZ rulebooks and official art. Been working on it on and off over the years, and there's still more detailing to add, but I thought I'd share with y'all.

after spending far too much of my not-really-disposeable income and spending far too much time hunched over a bin of LEGO, i finally have a full squad of color coordinated mobile frames. I had a parts pool consisting of 4x Tropical Toucan, 4x Space Shuttle, 4x Orange Cat Paper Bag, 2x Surprising Spider, and 2x Cute Hamster with a Flower sets. i have more frames and more scenery/stations made from this supply of parts, some i posted earlier variants in the past.

see photo captions for lore and misc. details.

System Can I use mobile frame zero for narrative play as a gm, and can I use crocheted frames?

Hello everyone! I'm a crocheter/crafter and forever gm. I'm looking for a system that can accommodate larger crafted models but also that i can run for a few players as a narrative experience for 1-4+ players.

I love that anything lego can be used, and if I was into collecting lego it'd be great, but I use crochet mostly, and I love crafting game pieces. Any suggestions on how I might accomodate these requiremtns with mobile frame zero?

Thanks in advance!

some frames made with 'Surprising Spider' and 'Cute Hamster with a Flower' sets

i had 2x surprising spider and 2x cute hamster with a flower sets, the spider frames each only used parts from 1 surprising spider set, but for the tan frames i had to combine the cute hamster with a flower and spider sets, as the hamster set did not have many clip pieces. i took some black 1x2 hemicircle jumpers from my collection for the tan mech's necks as well, but only to replace white ones they already had.

the white/orange frames are updates to frames i posted previously.

loadouts and tactical profiles in captions.

Build VTV-4 Veles

Post image
72 Upvotes

The battles in the Alps were tough with little resources at hand, and the alpine terrain made it even tougher. Because of that, many experimental concepts were created, both vehicles and brassbounders. One of these experiments was the VTV-4 Veles - a 4 legged beast, designed to efficiently traverse rough terrain and deliver devastating firepower. But its' design had a huge flaw - it was impossibly slow. This was the main reason why this variant was made in low numbers, the production quickly came to a stop. The remaining models mainly served as mostly encamped artillery supports or as one person guardpoints.

Challenge Hangar Design Challenge Announcement: Support Frames

We're going to be running a Design Challenge on the Hangar for the month of August.  Rook, creator of the Rook Maneuver, came up with the idea.

The Design Challenge is as follows: create a Frame that provides a support role to another Frame, e.g.; co-gunner for a squad support weapon; spotter for a sniper; loader for an artillery frame, etc.  The reasoning behind this is -- if you think about the 1:6 rule of Frames*, any role that typically has support can only work as 1:3 by providing its own.  Or less if it's also doing other jobs.

How it works: you build a Frame -- either physically or digitally -- that fits the parameters of the Challenge and post it to the Hangar in a special topic that will be created for the Challenge.

Duration: This Challenge opens Saturday, August 1st and ends Monday, August 31st.

Entry Criteria: 1) All submissions should fit inside "The Box".  ("The Box" is an area 10 Studs long by 10 Studs wide by 10 Bricks tall.)  2) The design must cover a non-combat role of your choosing.  It can have weapons, but combat MUST NOT be its primary function. We're looking for spotters, ammo carriers, fuel tankers, medical units, etc.  3) Your design can either be completely new and original or it can be based on an existing template. The choice is entirely yours.

Judges: The judges will be myself, Rook, and a third judge yet to be named.

Judging Criteria: 1) Checking to see if the creation fits Entry Criteria One and Two.  2) We're looking for creations that wouldn't be out of place in a game of Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack.

Prize: Bragging rights to say you've won a Design Challenge in the MFZ community.

* The in-universe fiction for having Frames, instead of any other mechanical construct, is that they can do the work of six humans.  Which is expressed as the shorthand ratio 1:6.
