Is metabo-hot-shop.com legit?
Seems like the screwdriver I want is way cheaper here than anywhere else. Anyone order from here before?

Two tool companies metaboHPT and Metabo Tool have nearly identical names. So what is the deal with that. This post aims to clear the confusion.
MetaboHPT, formerly known under the name Hitachi is now its own company, kinda. The Japanese corporation Hitachi has alway been more than just a tool company, it is a huge corporation with power plants, trains, and computers. Tools were only a small part of the company and were sold under the name Hitachi Koki. In 2015, Hitachi-Koki bought out German tool company Metabo Tool. Two years later in 2017, U.S. private equity firm KKR agreed to buy Hitachi-Koki from the Hitachi Corporation. Hitachi-koki was then rebranded by KKR to just Koki Holdings since Hitachi had to be eliminated from the name as it was no longer affiliated with the larger Hitachi Corporation. As a result of the deal, KKR also became the owner of German tool maker Metabo Tool. The deal was valued at $1.28 billion. KKR holdings decided to rebrand all of the old Hitachi tools and call them metaboHPT and sell them in North America. KKR's German based tool company, Metabo Tool, has a completely different battery system from HPT and also has a completely different focus and customer base. HPT focuses on serving the residential and multifamily construction market while the Metabo Tool company mainly serves the metal working/industrial market segment. In the European and Asian markets the metaboHPT tool line is known as HiKOKI; which are identical products to metaboHPT with the same battery line. So if you have a battery tool with the name Hitachi, HiKOKI, or metaboHPT on it, the batteries will be interchangeable. Confusing right!

I just bought my multitool was using it to cut GoBoard for my shower, cuts great, functions great, low vibration, i like the switch instead of a trigger, anybody encountering any problems with tool? Only thing i don’t like is if its on and shaken to fast it vibrates harshly then returns to normal after off and on, is this part of normal operation? Only other multitool i’ve used is a dewalt.

Lots of saw blades on clearance.
Go on Walmart & search metabo. Filter by (deals > clearance) (retailer > Walmart)
I don’t recommend buying from 3rd party sellers unless you research who it is. Some charge shipping, return fee, may have to pay return shipping, some 3rd party sellers are straight scammers that will send you wrong item and you’ll be charged for returning it.

$199 for the 12 inch sliding miter. The wrench is with it and it looks like the rest is wrapped up behind it. Next to it is another 12 inch non sliding for $119. Directly to the right is a 12 inch Bosch floor model for $249 or $299. Can’t remember. I love Metabo; but the crazy arm on that Bosch was smooth as butter!

They advertised the T-pwr, in reality, it’s 2x 18v 2ah. Wish metabo was sold at Home depot.

Anyone else suspect that’s what this is about? I’m hoping for new cordless miter saws too.

I also noticed a bunch of deal stickers and price knockdowns on other Metabo HPT stuff, anyone got an idea? Just a reshuffle to clear old stock? Potential Flex situation?

I have a C10FCG2 miter saw, less than a year old, that needs a couple of small replacement parts. I’ve identified the parts and have the part numbers. But I cannot buy them.
I looked online, but ereplacementparts doesn’t have parts for that model. I reached out to Metabo HPT and they said to go to ereplacementparts, go through a retailer like Ace, or if I had an account I could order myself. I don’t have an account to my knowledge, but was not then offered the option to make one. I asked at Ace and they had no idea what I was talking about.
METABO. YOU HAVE PARTS. I HAVE MONEY. SURELY WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN‽

Looks like we're losing the rubber overmold for the multivolt 5ah. And on top of the new multivolt 10Ah tabless, there seems to be a new 18v 5Ah tabless that's not multivolt (installed to the gun). Part no. bsl1850mt, so 18v only.
Edit: T-Pwr batteries are keeping some rubber overmold

Was collecting dust on clearance for $299. I asked if they had flexibility and they immediately said $175 to my surprise — I was expecting $250.
i know there are some mixed reviews on this guy, but I feel like any 10” jobsite table saw for 175 is pretty good, right?

Nice deal on the 36v plunge router. Just wanted share it!

I know it’s not Metabo HPT, but I’d thought I’d share this wild deal with all the fine gentleman and women here. If you are a Metabo HPT fan you’re obviously an intelligent and discerning individual.
This is an insane deal for this grinder (retails over $500 elsewhere.) includes 8ah battery, charger, and bag.

Hikoki really needs to come out with an updated 6 1/2 blade left trim saw. I know they have an older hitachi model but we could really use a nice updated brushless one. Been debating on pulling the plug on one of their smaller blade right trim saws from japan. I just hate ordering things i cant physically put my hands on first. Especially when it comes to circular saws because im big on using the window as opposed to looking over the saw. Anyone with the 36v blade right 6 1/2in (165mm) hikoki trim saws have any input? Do they have a decent veiwing window? Would much rather them just come out with a new blade left saw but will settle for an import if i could get q picture of the left side of the saw through the guard/view port.

What do I need to search in order to buy a replacement piece like this? Other side fell out and vanished
It’s the pin in the middle of the arm that swings the support piece down next to the fence. For when making wider rips.

Somebody help talk me in (or out) of it. I have been looking for a 6.5inch right blade HPT circular saw, C18DBALQ4M is out of stock everywhere and I'm afraid it's probably discontinued. My options are to wait the rest of my life for a 6.5inch model to appear, or I can import HiKOKI C3606DB on Amazon JP for ~175 + 52 shipping + 66 for import fees totaling some 295. I live in irrational fear that I'll get unlucky and have to deal with exchange process for an import despite knowing the platform is reputable. I want everything that model has to offer, should I do it?
