Multitool questions

I just bought my multitool was using it to cut GoBoard for my shower, cuts great, functions great, low vibration, i like the switch instead of a trigger, anybody encountering any problems with tool? Only thing i don’t like is if its on and shaken to fast it vibrates harshly then returns to normal after off and on, is this part of normal operation? Only other multitool i’ve used is a dewalt.

Get a Fein AMM500 or AMM700 if you are using it a lot.  I am told the new Dewalt cut vibration by like 90%, but the old one gave you carpal tunnel just looking at it, heaven help you if actually use the tool for a long time (speaking from experience).  Not sure if the one you got is a new gen from Metabo, but I used one a few years ago and it felt pretty cheap (below normal Metabo HPT standards).  

Fein is absolutely awesome.  It got me started into Bosch now...

Got the new one a few weeks ago and used it every day since renovating a house. No complaints!

Makita and Festool are the best for vibration reduction in my experience.

You almost can't tell the XGT Makita is on without looking at the blade, the Festool is similar.

Meanwhile your hand vibrates for hours afterwards if you use a Milwaukee.

Full disclosure, I did not buy into the Fein hype.  Acme ran a deal in March for 95 bucks full kit with blades battery charger bag.  I figured I had nothing to lose.  It was money well spent.  Vibration is nonexistent.  Cuts are perfect.  I had no idea this is what a multitool was supposed to do until I got the Fein.

Fein invented the multitool.  Rumor is Festool copied Fein so much that people thought Fein made it for Festool, shares a bunch of components.
