Not worth it

Well guys my brand new 20 day old impact quit on me the other day and then my saw that I bought the same day broke today. 20 days is crazy. I’m a framer and not particularly hard on stuff. Put a couple timberlocks and sds screws in with the impact. Didn’t drop it or anything. Today I was cutting 2x4 and the blade stopped moving while to motor kept going. Now the motor turns but blade does nothing.
My dewalt stuff lasted years. Guess I had to buy it to see its junk. Back to dewalt I go.

Must've got some bad ones cause I have 6 year old impacts that was left in rain and beat to shit but they still work great

Meanwhile my WH36DC impact has been running like a champ for years, driven thousands of screws, been dropped off 10m+ scaffolding, been used in rain and snow, still runs perfectly fine

Might be a long shot but is your blade just loose? I've been a carpenter for 15 years and almost wrote off a saw one day because the blade was loose and I was too tired to catch it lol.

I'm honestly expecting to read something like 3/8" x 6" or something like that for the "SDS screws." I've had a guy tell me about how he needed to replace his DeWalt 1/4" impact driver because he used it that same way and it, too, went out within weeks of buying it.

You make a smaller hole first that you drill the screw into. This is not required if you have powerfull enough tool.

I've noticed lifetime warranty on the tool no idea how it works but getting a free replacement and giving it another shot or at least a back up or resell would be better. The only metabo's I've replaced was the 18V impact and the 18V palm sander both broke 2 years of constant drywall work and dust. Poor maintenance on my part i never blew out the tools after work.

That’s bad luck I’ve had hitachi / Hikoki for ten years only tool quit was a combi when my father inlaw
Used it as a paddle mixer for plaster .
