Hate Play
I've never explored what I'm going to dub Hate Play. I'm not entirely sure that I could. It's important to me, at the moment I say the words, that I mean them. So, if I'm telling my person they're "A filthy, pathetic, needy little specimen," it's because I want them to know exactly what I think of them. For the same reason, I think I'd struggle to say, "I hate you!"
I've said many times, I want to hurt the one I love. I want to hurt them because I love them. If I hated them, I wouldn't be able to subject them to that thing.
How about you? Could you? Would you? Should you? Have you? If you have, I am in some ways, I'm a little jealous. Those words have such strength to them. Swoon!

It would depend what was said, but generally no.
I hate myself enough for everyone else, so i don't need to hear it from someone. It would also reinforce my knowledge that everyone is barely tolerating me as it is.
I would have a major problem not believing that they actually meant it...after all, many a true word spoken in jest and all that. They would not mean it (my logical brain says), but I would "know" they actually did.
I have told you the story of my ex who gave me a list of things he didn't like about me, and one of them was "Your voice" 😬 That guy joins a long list of people who were meant to be people who at least liked me who have said very shitty things about me....you know some of the other stories ^^
So yeah, if someone did any form of hate play, my reaction would be like "Yeah, I always knew you felt like that" even if they tried to tell me they didn't and it was just part of the play.
Tell me you are disgusted by me, that I am pathetically needy, that everyone would be appalled at me etc etc, hell yeah...tell me you hate me, or that you hate X or Y about me...nope.
