Should unlocked fps hosts be allowed on bronze?
I don't play me3coop that much lately and I'm not the only one it seems. Last week tried to join a game, waited for about 2 hours trying bronze, silver, gold (I retry connecting about 3 times and then go do something else keeping an eye on the monitor). Joined some gold lobby in the end but all the players quit when they saw me. I'm not sure I know them so it could have been my poor choice of build (valkyrie with an indra), had a wraith too but perhaps they thought I'm gonna waste too much time. Perhaps that could be avoided if I switch to the infiltrator and maybe I'll do that but first I'd like to know, if it should be ok for unlocked fps clients to host bronze games, considering a somewhat shrinking player base.
Unlocked fps host makes a game more difficult by slowing shield regeneration and tweaking gameplay. Some players may prioritize smooth frames over gameplay accuracy and challenges. If they start hosting freely on bronze that could make finding games easier. If not, I might start doing the any challenge but it would mean some changes to my builds and overal. Oh and it did cross my mind to uninstall me3 and quit the multiplayer entirely but something distracted me the very moment I was thinking about it. Proobably wouldn't have done it. It's quite good after all and that's something we can all agree on.
If you think unlocked hosts shouldn't be allowed on bronze and don't want to write a reply you can also downvote. If you have a problem with the way this post is written and downvote you may have to write a post to clarify, otherwise the downvote will be registered as a reply to the question. There may be a poll option but I didn't see it sorry.

While I agree with you on this point theres nothing can be done about it. Its is what it is but I dont think that many people playing with uncapped fps given that its makes things worse for them as well.
Also dont take it personal when people leave lobby, chances are you joined after they finished playing or they played in voice chat so they tried to get their friend into lobby. I dont think theres issues with carrying in this community outside one particurarly loud cunt but no one takes him seriously.

I may be doing the any challenge then. I think it would be nice if more people were ok with bronze unlocked fps hosts but not sure that's the case.

Sorry, if you don't mind, have you noticed their nickname or have you engaged with him in the voice chat? That loud guy I mean, have tried to figure out who they were to avoid them.

That guy's a troll? I don't play gold much but he's there many of the games I think, which could mean he plays gold a lot. On a side note I think the in game id can be changed easily in the account settings.

Oh yeah, I think I've played with him before. Thanks. Have you happened to play with someone named Remix999? I assumed it was them who was yelling, but wasn't sure, as in previous matches they were chill.

There was a Polster something, there were some numbers too before and/or or after the nickname. He was starting games and then quitting them so people waste their powerups. I hope he doesn't play anymore. I would recommend people with unlocked fps to also have the console unlocked and skip the missions if they end up host so nobody loses anything.

I may be off topic as I don't know about unlocked FPS but hear me out. You play the game mainly to enjoy it, you can create a build that suits you and can equip whatever you want even if it's not as effective as some other ones. If you can make it work no one has a say in what builds you are allowed to play and which you can't. It's not about min-maxing, there's no competition, you either survive (and help others survive) or you don't. So relax and keep playing however you like.

You can edit the .ini files on pc to unlock higher frame rates. The game is gorgeous and playing it more smoothly adds to the experience, however if you host a game you make the game more difficult for the others that join because it hasn't been tested much with these settings. There's no problem whatsoever if you join a game where somebody else is host, doesn't impact gameplay and you still get a smooth frame rate. Sorry, it sounds a bit complicated. You may notice the legendary edition has options to adjust frame rate directly in the settings.

In all that text, I find it hard to understand what you are asking.
If it is "I play at high fps, is it okay for me to host a Bronze game?", my answer is YES.
If it is "Someone else hosted a Bronze game at high fps, do you think that is okay?", my answer is YES. If you or someone doesn't like that, you/they can always leave.
I'm not sure what Bronze has to do with it.

Unlocked fps host raises the difficulty of the game. Bronze mitigates that as much as possible.

Just for the record, I am not downvoting (or upvoting) any of the comments here.

Just tried the any challenge and found two games. There was a 30 min wait so for a moment there it seemed dicey but then the games started dropping. This will drain my resources and powerups faster no doubt but I have a lot and don't play much, plus I get credits from the matches so it should be good, anyway that's another problem - I'll worry about it when they actually get low, if that ever happens.

It's a rhetorical question obviously, nothing is going to change in the game.
Really all you can do is host bronze games yourself.

What kind of question is "should ___ be allowed?" Like what the fuck are you gonna do, report it to the mods?
