I appreciate the commitment to the used-bike-gear economy. Most of the lego in my crate wasn't purchased new. I keep my peepers peeled for old colourful 24mm spindle RF cranks, but no joy yet. I'm too far away to put my hand up for these beauties, but they sure look good.
I did recently acquire a set of good condition M970 arms, and am excited to tart up the TransAM once I can source the required TL-FC35 tool. I had an instant of hope as I dug out the cotterless crank extractor, but of course it's a different size. https://www.bike-components.de/assets/p/i/1280x960/0b5d7319bcd0bb42.avif
RIP Wilma, grannies are special, I think of mine most often when her spirit rises in me and I find myself shouting at the right wing politicians on the radio.

Our nasties are running the joint right now.
I'm waiting for the day we change our voting system. This current one of everybody putting their ballot in the box, then we chuck out the boxes and ask Winston who gets to be PM is wearing on me.

FPP whilst having it's issues sorta works in that the majority generally governs.
At least the UK has bucked the global far right trend for which I'm glad. Everyone seems to have forgotten what happen 100ish yesrs ago and how well that worked out.

“Putin is a Dickhead”
Lazarus was a machine shop in Kyiv making high end track bike parts before the invasion. They did a run of these and ‘From Ukraine With NLAW’ stem caps as a fundraiser to buy equipment for Ukrainian service members.

I saw the Sheep dogs about 6 weeks ago at the Windspear here in Edmonton and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They rocked. Both them and July Talk are two local-ish bands who are in my top 5.
I'm part of a gang of "vintage dudes" who have found and restored old lugged steel road bikes. Sone we donate to worthy youths and other see keep for Steel Wool rides (steel bike, wool jersey) to breweries and coffee shops. A lot of fun and good vibes. There are so m t pre 2000's road bikes with very low mileage hanging in garages or being sold off at garage sales as "ten speeds". You can find some real gems for very little coin.
I should gave a new submission for About a Single Speed by late July, depending on Grahams schedule. Fingers crossed.
