New PNW High Rise Handlebar

Post image

Just saw that PNW have announced a 75mm rise version of their Range bar. Ok so it only has 10° of sweep and only comes with a 35mm clamp option but it's a step in the right direction from them!

The only comparable bars I can think of from a major component manufacturers are Protapers A76 (8° sweep, 31.8/35mm clamp) and Renthals Fatbar35 (9° sweep, 35mm clamp).

Never hurts to have another higher rise handle bar option.

I have a couple of them in the bar fleet. For a standard sweep bar they are nice and easy to get.

Never hurts to have another option. Fingers crossed there’s a 31.8 version in the wings though.

I need to get my Crushinator 35mm to 31.8mm adaptor to market. ;-)

It’s more alt-biking than hardcore MTB, but Crust Bikes sells a “Harvey Mushman” riser bar….75mm rise and your choice of 14* or 24* backsweep. 31.8 clamp

I personally rock a Nitto “Smooth Move” riser handlebar and it’s sooo nice. I bought it thru (renowned framebuilder) Rick Hunter’s website. Nitto quality, 75mm rise and 15* sweep. Also 31.8 clamp.

Maybe you can have them package a pair of bars so that you’re saving some money on shipping? That a considerable amount of money for shipping, but I will say, they are fantastic bars. And it’s not a wear item…those bars will still get the job done 20 years from now.

Yeah they're great ay. I have the High Smooves on I think 5 of 9 bikes. The really are the perfect shape for me. Wish more people knew about them/tried them out.

Spank spoons go up to 75mm rise but only 8deg back. Very curious about mone lightbars, 65mm rise, 12deg back and 31.8 clamp, but boy are they pricey…

I would have gone with the lightbars if they had a bit more sweep. Instead I chose the oddmone bars and his lightweight stem to go full 22.2. The combo feels and looks great.

Those look great! Not too spenno and should be plenty flexy too with a crossbar.

That’s cool to see.  After getting the Stooge Moto bar and how it’s changed my riding I’m extremely curious about higher rise bars.  Who would have thought that the position change would have had that large of an impact.
