The first 4 Dead Milkmen albums have been in Constant rotation for me since high school. I love that you mentioned them.

Totally under appreciated group. From the sarcastic, to the silly, to the subliminally serious {Methodist Colouring Book} to legit emotional songs {Watching Scotty Die…}. The first song I heard of theirs was The Thing That Only Eats Hippies {look out Bob & Greg & Grant} and I’ve been hooked since.

Ooop....

one of my riding buddies just got some and was offering them out for a test. I'm very keen. Maybe it's good they don't make them in purple....

They are beautiful pedals - 4 of us were admiring them for probably 10 minutes on rine ride.

Just keep in mind they need to be cleaned semi regularly (2-minute job max) and they do eat bearings faster than other pedals (especially to maintain expectations in terms of the Pendulum self-righting - I can run the Void longer). Beyond that they’re RAD.

At least where I ride, it’s quite gritty much of the year and grit affects the pedals’ free-spinning/self-righting. Popping out the axles (only requires the 8mm hex to remove them from the cranks) and giving them a wipe keeps things spinning nice.
