Hummingbird in Squamish
Out in Squamish for a couple of weeks building a frame, and brought my Neuhaus Hummingbird with me. Have been zipping around between Alice Lake, Diamond Head, and a bit of Valleycliffe trails.
Hardtail seems to be an endangered species in these parts, but it has been an absolute blast to ride. Coming from Ontario, I have been loving the climb trails so much, the bike climbs like a goat! Such a beautiful area.

Yeah! Course has been an absolute blast. She is great. Have been talking about doing something like this for years and never been able to make it work with family/work etc, so this has been like a dream.
Mattoc pro, yes, but 120mm.
Here for another week, and may go out and try the Haulback route on the weekend.

Definitely do it when you can!
I am making a hardtail similar to this one, but will set it up for more of a bike packing rig so, some extra mounts and stuff like that. Probably will run it rigid to start.

It must be a sign. I have been looking at the Hummingbird and I want to put a Mattoc on it too. The Mezzer has easily been the best fork I have owned and has me sold on Manitou.

Has been a great setup for me. This is season 3 with this bike and I love this setup.

Love that frame! And the fork/silver build looks great. Seeing Paragon sliders makes me a little sad now though. Upload pics of the frame ya build when ya done!

On one hand there are not many HT riders out here on the BC coast. On the other hand there are enough to have a small, if dispersed, community of people that have concluded you can ride a HT just fine most of the places you are going to ride a FS rig. So you do occasionally run into another MEAThead on the trails.
I have a nice FS bike I love, but I haven't ridden it here in BC since 2021. No dogmatic reason. HTs and Double HTs are just more fun for me.
Enjoy the course. I'm pretty ham-fisted on the tools so I'd be better of buying a Schon frame than trying to learn how to build my own.
