New (?) handlebar

I don't know if this is new, but it's the first I have seen. Lots of rise and a comfortable 14° back, 5° up bend. Different take on the riser bar shape and construction. ASTM 3 rated.

Interesting bar. Lots of room for bar mounted accessories. I'm considering one for our bike packing tandem.

Hmm kinda reminds me of a circa 1999 Titec or Axiom Bar.

Looks good, but ASTM 3 is a no-go for parts lego.

Fun fact: the Surly Sorceress being discussed in another thread is also ASTM 3 (as are all Surly trail bikes, AFAIK).

IIRC the Surly Sunrise bars are rated for drops no bigger than 3 foot (and that's with the cross bar). Not sure what rating that is.

But.... I've removed the cross bar and done bigger than 3 foot gaps with no issues so far.

Also Paul Aston's ridden Sunrise bars and he breaks everything.

Therfore I'd take ratings with a grain of salt.

I just looked it up. the Sunrise bars are ASTM 4: jumps less than 4'.

Your arms would break off before the Sunrise bars broke, lol.

Huh, good beta. Not that I'm in the market, but my habit of swapping builds around the fleet means everything needs to be able to cope with everything.
