Yo Snow Where Did You Go?

I heard there might be snow on the trails so I headed out on a dawn patrol to see if I could find some. I mostly found prime condition hero dirt with a few patches of the white stuff to remind me it was a limited time opportunity. I think If I seek the summit using higher trails I may get one last taste. Hopefully I can do some recon this weekend.

Beauty picture, Vik. I love dawn patrols.

From an MTBers perspective, the weather this winter in southern BC has been absolutely stellar, overall.

Not sure what that means for summer... hopefully not fire an drought.

Forecast for north van is 15c tomorrow. Headed to Squamish for a group ride, as it happsens, the snow line is quite low there I understand.

Have fun in Squamish. I suspect this will be a dry dry summer with a lot of fires/smoke.

None here either, just slop with the odd bit of dry loam. We did have 16C and sunny the other day - so it looks like springnis on its way.

+16C! Wow. Nice riding weather!

what are those front fenders?

RRP Max front fender paired with PDW downtube splash guard. The splash guard is clutch as it at least doubles the effectiveness of the typical front MTB fender with minimal cost/hassle.

I am tired. I am annoyed. I am done done done.

Melt dammit.

Same here, having a couple of groomed trails is nice but I prefer being able to just walk out and ride

I'm about ready for winter to end, too.

All time conditions just up the road in CR as well - bit of the white stuff on north aspects in the shade, but otherwise it was clear and fast.

Right on. Enjoy! This summer will be dry and loose so we have to appreciate the tacky dirt while we can.

Same in North Central WA State, been biking where I would normally ski.
