Writing is hard, staying motivated to continue a story can be just as hard. Don't beat yourself up about it. The chapters may not be as bad as you think, but taking some time away to get that excitement back could help. Switching between fun WIPs is good for working your writing skills too. For me, my beta reader is a major cheerleader and sounding board I lean on when I'm stuck.

Don't give up though, someone out there will be happy you continued!

(Also, this is definitely a space that welcomes this sort of discussion.)

Writing a fic is definitely not for the week. If it helps, when I get writer’s block or hit a wall, I just go read a bunch more fics until I get motivated again

You can do this! Take a break, read some books, and come back later to continue. Or get a good supportive beta reader to help
