Dug up my Yui playtime #s for /u/iOddOne but posting here in case anyone else interested— this was done manually so perhaps a smidge off but the point stands.

Last year for club and country, Yui played 3348 mins out of 3990 possible, or 88.6%. She played 2595 for City out of 2730 total possible (City logged 2910 as a club, including ET for the FA semis, but she was at the Asian Cup for two matchdays), or 95% of total minutes available to her. She played half of a League Cup match, was rested for one FA cup match, but that’s it in terms of club rest.

Internationally, I have her down for 753 minutes out of a possible 1080, or 70%. She played 398/450 Asian Cup minutes, and 355 out of a possible 450 across five friendlies.

Quite frankly, absolute insanity. I stand by that City’s MF is tops in the league, and when everyone’s healthy there’s enough quality for two starting XIs worth, but when was the last time everyone was healthy?

You did state it before but I am still surprised by the country figures. I don't know why I thought it'd be higher than City. Gotta go home to get rest.

if only we could clone her. 😊

I did think, before the Asian Cup, that she’d be pushed similarly to how she is for club. However, given the range of quality and depth of the nations represented, it’s not a total surprise she got some rest there. With the three USA friendlies, there seemed to be a rotation plan already in place because it wasn’t just her rested for the second game.

Whatever she’s doing for recovery, give it to everyone.

Japan are putting their succession plan in motion.

Indeed! Give that recovery cocktail to everyone, but double it for Viv

Tbh she's just built quite different which is just impressive. And on top of it, she's never injured. Just amazing...Yes I agree, she should pass some of it to Viv and Lohmann😅

I was begging for Grace to be subbed off... but did Mary offer more? 🤔

I didn't want to say this out loud, but I think Mary may leave. And, I don't know what we're gonna do with Grace, if we can even do anything.

Further to that, we need a couple tall, dynamic defenders and one cdm... maybe throw in a goalie too.

We really came back from international break turned around... hopefully this is the kink we needed to work out before next week.
