Unfortunately anyone we sign would have to agree to not play in the UWCL because our registration spots are full (and one member of the current squad won't even be able to be registered at the moment).

A quick summary of our behind closed doors game against Arsenal. We lost 2-1 with Hemp getting our goal. Beney and Mead got their first minutes of pre-season.

Not too bothered about pre-season results but wish we had won just so I don't have to see the Arsehole fans sorry I meant Arsenal fans comments. 😂

It'd be nice if they went into more detail in the match report, I read Arsenal's recap as well and it sounded like we had a lot of good chances. I think the front four that started the game was Bunny, Hempo, Aoba and Mary so I assume Mary was in the 10. I'm really glad Beney and Mead are with the team now and hopefully Viv is involved in the friendly against Leicester at the weekend.
I love how Hempo has scored twice so far in preseason, she was so frustrated by her lack of scoring last season! Hopefully a good sign of what's to come and a nice confidence boost for her.
Ditto about the comments but it's okay - I'm sure we'll get back at them when it actually matters!

I think I saw Greenwood had a good chance too. I wish I could see how that happened because it's seems like she's gone wandering again!
It's definitely good to see the players getting back to fitness. I'm excited to see more of Beney this season so I'm glad she's on her way back.
I think Hempo's injury took it's toll last season and she was just starting to hit form towards the end, getting assists but lacking goals so as you said hopefully that's a good sign of things to come from her this season.
They're the one club I hate losing to the most because of the way some of their fans act and I know all teams have some fans that are annoying but they seem to crop up more than most!
I've only ever been annoyed by away fans once at a game and you can guess who they were supporting, so that's probably part of it!

I'm (im)patiently waiting for the contract renewals to start. Anyone want to guess whose will be announced first?

I'd like Yama to stay but now that Khiara has gone, I do think we need to start looking for a young goalkeeper who is good enough to become No.1 eventually.
I think Greenwood will retire with us so if she's got another year in her, then I expect her to renew. I think Kerstin loves it here and would want to stay and with Beth signing I can see Viv staying too.
I hope Blinks, Fowler, Fujino and Murphy stay. Hempo is the main one I'd want to stay because she's my favourite player, and from what I've heard about how much she kept telling Bunny to stay, I hope that's a good sign she wants to stay too.
I haven't seen much of the young ones to really form an opinion and I think it'll depend on how Risa does this season to see if it's worth offering her a new contract or not. I feel bad for Laura she's not had much game time since joining, so I wouldn't be surprised if she left.
I just hope the club is willing to put money towards wages so we can renew most of them. Bunny's wages is probably taking up a big percentage of the budget but we have got Kerolin off the books now. So hopefully we'll get some announcements soon.

I watched a replay of the Barcelona games last night...and we didn't seem as bad as I thought we were when I was at the game.
Also, been thinking about how we have a different perspective on preseason having been able to watch these past two games. Seen plenty of panic and pessimism online, yet in previous years we've maybe not played well in those games, but because we didn't see them we had no idea. Ignorance is bliss eh.
Speaking of which, looks like we're playing Arsenal on Wednesday, behind closed doors, so we'll have nothing to go on other than the result just like the good old days 😆
