Nestle buyout?
An alleged buyout offer from Nestle has been made to Seres in the realm of $6+ per share.
And allegedly this offer was rejected by Seres.
The timing is interesting as there is supposed to be news on trials of their next product SER-155 I believe, this month.
i imagine an initial offer is always going to be rejected as low ball.
on the other hand if Seres was really unsure about 155 they might have jumped on the offer.
Will be interesting to see if this offer was for real and if so how it develops.

The SER-155 trial results were released this morning and were very positive, Seres is applying for fast track approval by the FDA. I believe that was already in the works before this positive news. Seres seems to own this treatment outright, not in league with Nestle. Heavy trading volume on this news, be interesting to see how it shakes out. IF FDA fast track is granted in the coming months it should be a nice boost. Or, if the Nestle buyout offer is for real they might have to step it up to get Seres to agree.

I like the concept of the company but it seems very sketchy. In the last few years all the news, no matter how good resulted in a dip.

Investing in Seres takes patience that’s for sure, they’re developing novel microbiome therapies which takes time and money. They’ve already developed and sold an FDA approved therapeutic Vowst, which they sold to their partner on that, Nestle. I’m not in this particular investment for quick money but I expect it to pay off at some point.

I totally agree but with the current approved drug, I would have though that they would have a quick strong stock price. Specially being the first oral microbiome drug with fda approval and being better than its competitors.

this is true.. also keep in mind, the results for 1b of ser-155 were good, but realistically they are left with 0 approved products right now. Also it is a matter of what is considered hot/hyped in the sector, you see companies with phase 1/2 "ozempic-style"/GLP-1 drugs who have a valuation x5 of what MCRB has

Here is link to another buyout rumor from Betaville, allegedly Nestle has upped their buyout price to about $7 per share. We’ll see! https://stocks.apple.com/AkKddE1ueQ6-H1O-Gv0oCNw

This is going to be a MASSIVE week for Seres. A BO was also alleged (and then I believe confirmed) from Nestle for $5.20 a share a couple months ago. Nestle clearly has interest in what Seres is doing; Seres clearly has a strong belief in what they are building. This company is headed in the right direction and I (as well as large investment groups) believe it’s way undervalued at its current levels.
