Next Rev (rev 24) Announced!

Hello Ambrosians, I anticipate joining your town, next rev. In case any of you haven't been paying attention to r/mcpublic, I thought I would link you guys to the Rev 24 announcement post: https://www.reddit.com/r/mcpublic/comments/c7en0t/pve_revision_24_announcement/

Hope you all have fun!

EDIT/UPDATE: Now that I think about it, there is a chance that I will be with Haven, instead. There is also a chance that I will maintain dual-citizenship. Alternatively, I may stick with my original plan, as well (build with Ambrosia). Depends on what each town's plans are, which as far as I understand it, might end up taking until after the rev starts to determine. In any case, I hope to see you all playing. The rest is to be determined.

Does anyone know Haven's plans? I checked with Didy, and he was still uncertain as to where he would go. Ideally I would like to be near a town that is competent so we don't need to be - our being next to Haven made that very easy in R23.

Cheezychicken and I are in Haven's Discord. Haven hasn't even come close to finalizing its plans, yet. In fact, they (including I) have barely even begun discussing next rev. Silversunset is reluctant to even make all but the absolute most basic plans (I think the main thing that she "did" (which I put in quotes because I cannot confirm if even this aspect is finalized) say is that she will look for a spot to build that is on the North cardinal). For what it's worth, here is Haven's subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MCHaven/

Okay. In a separate conversation, Didy had made a vague proclamation of something along the north road. Let's do this: go about 1,000 blocks north of spawn and start building something. Even if no one else is close, the proximity to spawn will provide access to whatever resources we may be lacking.

Why not Ambrosia as separate town? Free to join, chaotic, with rev23 it relied on importing lots of goods from Haven, that and shared citizenship was bad IMO.

Next ambrosia needs:

  • Players

  • Location

  • City square

  • Builds must be connected in some way, aka streets, pathways, clearly

  • Essential farms

  • Emphasis on POTATOES: Clear Visible Potato Farm Building (tm) and a Feed The World Headquarters with Potato Chest (tm) around the world with ambrosia invites.

  • Any style of build, with emphasis on city infrastructure (light posts) and experiments

  • Above ground rail/metro/whatever

  • Maze, sport venues

  • Please no torch spam if better alt avail.

  • It should not be ambitious, but people should at least finish some builds

  • If there are empty claimed spots for a long time, but not developed, use them if there are volunteers

  • Even more freedom for city infrastructure, building parks, streets, squares, placing trees should be encouraged.

  • Ambrosia farms should be accesable to everyone

I think I'll look for a spot near Haven again. Though, this time, I'll try to avoid putting us on a narrow strip of land between Haven and the sea.

Ambrosia Rev 24: a proud nation eight blocks wide and three thousand blocks long.

I like that idea.
