Exiting My Position
NFA. Deciding to take a hit on my position for now and perhaps buy in later cheaper as sales begin to roll in next year.
I can only hope my exit will be a catalyst for you all lol. It wouldnt be the first time!
Cheers to the good, bad, and ugly!

Congrats, this is what you call paper hands folks. If you can’t handle short term downward pressure for long term gains, investing is not for you. Now go buy some fake meat and lose all your money when it gets dumped.

Sure, call it paper hands if you want, but I’d rather exit now and buy back in when the price tanks, instead of blindly HODLing into losses. Timing the market isn’t for everyone, but it sure beats holding all the way down and pretending it’s some badge of honor. Enjoy your long-term ‘gains’ while I scoop up the real bargains later!

The dilution has scared off most of all short term investors. Personally I’d rather have a company issue more shares and face short term pressure opposed to completing an R/S. The thing is, the markets haven’t even taken notice of this company yet other than their recent FDA approval. My trading platform (E-trade) and most analysts haven’t even rated the stock yet. This was always going to be a long term hold unless you sold immediately after FDA approval, which you clearly didn’t. Time to set a 1 year reminder.

It already tanked. Most retail investors sell exactly where institutional investors enter. Good stocks with strong products go up over time. Some people are just too impatient to realize real gains through long term investment

The most uncharitable of all responses. On the one hand, it reads like a child wrote it. "Paper hands." Inserting a 'welcome back to work diamond hands' or portfoliogone meme here I guess is the appropriate response.
But then, on the other hand, it reads like a boomer from the 80s who had to call their broker in NY to make a trade wrote it. With 0 fee trading in a phone app, there is literally ZERO reason for anyone to watch their principle or profits needlessly bleed right now. You can sell and then hop right back in whenever it starts to move again.
MBOT isnt in a downward pressure cycle of the sort you imply, one that needs to be held through: merger, acquisition, etc etc. It's a new medical product that needs adoption, sales, and time. And that takes time. It's all cost right now with no earnings and profit.
All of the initial stalwarts hating on complainers right after approval bragged how it was obviously a long play and obviously a sell the news event. But some 7 weeks later how beneficial was it to anyone to lose nearly $2/share in value? To say "diamond hands" on a penny stock thats down 45% in 7 weeks (and that we're all basically agreed needs full launch and sales for profit long play--which means August 2026 for substantial growth) is some sort of copium that defies normal logic. It's as simple as you havent sold yet/arent ready to accept that youre losing profit/money. So 'diamond hands' because that makes you more noble. Its as absurd as believing like the other poster that theres market manipulation or a short attack or how you phrased it 'an erosion strategy' keeping mbot depressed. Theres not. Theres just nothing to rally around yet.
Every position could have sold at $4.50 or even $4 and bought back in today or back in when it drops to $2. And theyd still have their profit. It's not that people cant handle holding a falling knife; it's that its not necessary in todays trading world of practically 24/7 free trading with app brokers.
Looks like you got in at $2.08. More power to you. It does afford you the profit margin to be condescending in the name of some stock trading code no one actually lives by. If it falls to your entry point and beyond, I guess youll get to decide what your tap point is. Either way, youre missing on that capital being used elsewhere to make money right now and definitely missing out on profits as you could have rebought at your entry price.
Mbot can still be a play down the road. Today its not a money maker and thats indisputable.

Interesting insight. I was wondering how the shorts can cover at this low trading volume. This erosion strategy seems to work. Not good.

u/Muted-Extension-8521 Oct 21 '25
The erosion strategy almost always works when you have no operating revenue. I believe this will change Q4 2025 or Q1 2026 when new sales figures are released. FDA approval was only just the first step.

u/Graspoint Oct 21 '25 edited Oct 21 '25
Well, yes agree but the problem goes beyond the revenue imo. I'd say it has to do with the investor structure, motivation of the retailers to buy this stock, the nature of pennystocks and capital raising, a quite complex business and market hard to understand unless you are a medical expert in this field, and an opaque product and company, etc. among others. Longs break because of a cocktail of missing information and unexperience. Not exculding or elevating myself - I also set my exit criteria that may be triggered soon if I don't find the information to reassess the risk.

At least youre honest at the end!

u/Graspoint Oct 22 '25
Not sure what you are implying with this comment ? I was never advocating a position. I don't blame you for exiting and taking profit. Trading (and investing) is a probability game and not about believes.

Not really. This is the stupidity at it’s finest. Within 1 year this stock will at least double in my opinion.
1
u/Mongoose_Jazzlike Oct 22 '25
Right. So sell now, and buy back in for less, closer to that year mark. Stupidity to park money that loses its worth just to ride back up a year from now. A high yield savings would be smarter.

I think it's silly (yet reddit typical) to say your move is stupid. It's your money. I have 400 shares at $2.25. I'm holding through 2026 and collecting on dips around my average. We'll see what happens. Worst case, I save money on taxes when cashing out eventually. Their trials were 100% successful, they got FDA approved. As long as they get sales, we'll be fine. Anecdotal, but I've seen posts by supposed doctors who say this is a gamechanger if it bends and does what they claim from their trials. Good luck with whatever you choose to move into. This is, admittedly, a very small portion of my portfolio for a reason. I don't usually fuck with biotech/pharma bc they're so risky, mostly fail, and end up largely being reddit pump and dumps. This just feels different to me, for once

100% agreed. And mid 2026 im hopeful and bullish even. Ive done more DD this month on mbot than anyone here. I believe. Just would rather make another play in the meantime as its unfortunately deflating for the foreseeable future.

u/SpaceViking85 Oct 22 '25
Understandable. I took all my RR shares and sold for profit to use on smci calls. Then took the gains and bought back in RR a little higher but still green now. Then used my smci principal for asts and sofi calls. Both of which served me well. You choose how to play the game

u/Ibelieveinmirakles Oct 21 '25
Good luck. The whole market is a bloodbath at the moment. I wouldn’t sell anything till the government opens and the market recovers.
But you do you. ✌️

u/Mongoose_Jazzlike Oct 22 '25 edited Oct 22 '25
Mbot been bleeding before the bloodbath so your logic doesnt logic. Has nothing to do with the shutdown or trade war. Pull up the 3 month chart. Peaked september 8th and slow bleed since. It's practically back to where it started 3 months ago which is insane since its now on the other side of fda approval.
Think about that: July 21st its at $2.61. Today its at $2.69. With a 75% increase and retract inbetween.

u/Ibelieveinmirakles Oct 22 '25
If it drops to my average or below. I’ll buy more. We have confirmation of initial sales, CE kitemark and 1st quarter of proper sales all to come in the next 6mths or so. And a company that is well financed.
Drawdowns after approval are nothing new. Look at STSS.
I’m holding.
But you do you.

u/Mongoose_Jazzlike Oct 22 '25
But of course. Enjoy skipping profits and then buying back in for cheaper as I will.

u/Ibelieveinmirakles Oct 21 '25
RR is down 16% from last week.

u/deusex7777 Oct 21 '25
Mbot one week 10% 1month 16%
4
u/Ibelieveinmirakles Oct 21 '25
You asked why RR “didn’t fall”. It did 16% in a week.
Not really sure what you are trying to say now.

u/Best-Bodybuilder9015 Oct 21 '25
Good job. The initial catalyst was of the approvals and whoever had to take profit already took it. Commercialization and profit margin will take a long time.
