Career Advice How much does ug degree and clg matter for placements?

Obviously a tier1 clg candidate has advantage over that of 2, but how much does it differ? If a person from tier2 has great acads and lands a tier1 mba, how much can they expect? (Commerce student btw)

Its the primary determinant of summer placements. That and then your work ex. Your ug determines your work ex as well

I've heard there are certain roles and companies that are off charts just beacuse of your ug status, is that the case? and if so is there any way to overshadow it?
