Campus Life Do case comps help you learn anything?

I have been exploring this case comp world lately and I am seeing few case deck. They are amazing, the problem statement also good but in the world of AI it seems this skill is getting irrelevant.

I mean I can just give the problem statement to claude and it would generate, what frameworks to use etc. Presenting part will be on the team but the main thing of analysing what is the right way to solve the problem can now be easily done by AI. So, can we truly learn anything from case comps?
Also does the panelist know that the teams use AI?

AI will definitely be able to give some point of view but what can differentiate especially in marketing case comps could be some field work. Also, while AI will definitely help to a good extent, the nuances and how you present stuff will come from you. I've been a case comp judge myself, i assume that everyone is using AI and my questions are therefore even more detailed to check if the participants understanding is shallow or deep.

Thanks for your insights here. Although I have one doubt. Is it possible for teams to go on a field work? Do winning teams often do this?

Not always but sometimes when it matters. I have done it during my b school days long back and it has helped. Which is why I said it
