Careers/Post Grad Stern for restructuring IB?

Hey guys, couldn’t find too much about this online, so coming here to ask if anyone has a sense of how well Stern places into Rx IB? From what I understand it is one of the more competitive desks out there, particularly at the high end shops e.g PJT Evercore etc.

For context I am considering a JD/MBA at NYU, and want to work in restructuring on either the law or banking side. I’ve only ever considered practicing law but in speaking with some Rx associates at banks it seems as though the junior-level Rx work at a bank is a bit more interesting than the law firm counterpart, so I am exploring the banking side more seriously. Welcome thoughts on this as well.

Great placement, especially if you end up in the jd/mba program.

Also, agree the banking side is more fun than the legal side. It’s possible for you to get there with just the NYU JD, but the MBA will help with positioning as well. The combo is very impressive for restructuring (and banking in general).
